There is a young woman whose boyfriend shot himself in her house. (he is dead) She was brought up to know the Lord but isn’t living in a good way. She is living in the way modeled to her by her mother. Please pray she will finally wake up and find the spiritual help she needs.
The Palisades fires have forced my LA family to evacuate. One brother, wife, and daughter have moved five pets to their daughter’s apartment plenty far away.
My nephew and his family left their Pacific Palisades home this morning. “Surrounded by fire and not looking good.” No word on the church where we attended a splendid service on Christmas Eve.
Niece, husband, toddler and newborn have probably left, but I don’t know where.
Other brother and wife–are still home waiting and watching; they have a place to go.
This is absolutely horrifying to watch on a personal level–I know this area very well– and on a “global” level as well.
My daughter, the former EMT, is worried about ME–because of past fire evacuations.
I’m okay, probably because I’m back in total reporter mode glued to the news.
The fires look horrible. I saw the video of those evacuating the assisted living facility and thought of those workers also concerned with their own homes, family etc. Prayers for all!
