You asked why Musk and others are bringing it up again?
Because a full accounting has never happened thanks to politicians like Starner who hide the details. You also mention one city, when the scandal has been far wider spread, and continues to happen in some ares.
Here’s more on it with a strong CONTENT WARNING!
What they did to these poor girls if horrifying and vile, and the UK politicians tried to cover it up, just like Dems are doing about the rapes and abuse of girls and women here by illegals.
“Macron accuses Elon Musk of election interference.
“Who would have thought, if we had been told that the owner of one of the largest social networks in the world would support the new international reactionary movement and intervene directly in elections.”

“Oh like that time Starmer called @realDonaldTrump a racist and said the British government should do everything to stop him?
Or when Starmer sent British Labour Party members to campaign in the US against President Trump this year?”
:According to BBC Newsnight, Britain’s socialist government are considering ending their security partnership with the U.S. unless Donald Trump distances himself from Elon Musk’s views on grooming gangs.”
“Good. Not one cent of American treasure and not one drop of American blood to protect a tyrannical dictatorship that is complicit in the torture of thousands of little girls.”
AJ — this story is over 15 years old. The UK has held two inquiries, one into Rothenham specifically and a few years later to police investigations in general. Both inquiries made recommendations. The previous Conservative who had plenty of time to implement these suggestions and did not. The current Labour gov’t is less than a year old and it remains to be seen what they will do. Parliamentary democracy is a slow moving beast especially in the UK where custom and tradition can grind things down.
You are correct in that the problems are continuing, but that’s not Musk’s focus or he would be tweeting away about incompetent police and prosecutors. Instead he’s focusing on the Labour PM as are others.
As some have pointed out, a central problem was the police considering the girls to be non-credible because of their class background. Questioning the credibility of victims is huge issue by both the judicial system and those who defend or commit sexual crimes. We see the same thing happening in both the US and Canada -where one defense for rape was “she’s ugly and not my type”.
I’ll admit I did not check your X links — I avoid sordid details of crime especially older crime (not a fan of true crime) and especially if it’s being used to further a political agenda. i find it distasteful that Musk is exploiting the very real suffering of these girls to push his own political agenda. I know some of these girls now women have become active in victim rights but this is their story not Musk’s.
Anyway I found these articles a good evaluation of Musk’s motivation and its not about the women involved.
It’s a group effort from free speech haters on the left both here and across the pond to target Musk. He is the single biggest obstacle to them controlling any and all narratives, so the concerted effort to destroy him. Freedom loving people see it for exactly what it is, and we ain’t havin’ it.
The media will of course play along, most being left leaning biased liberals, and since he’s single handedly destroying their grip on the news, while simultaneously destroying their business models.
Shape up, or go under media. You’re no longer the only game in town. 🙂
It’s amusing how these sniveling cowards are suddenly concerned with foreigners expressing mere opinions while the rake in millions from a foreigner actually affecting elections.
“Macron accuses Elon Musk of election interference.

Meanwhile….. there are pics of Macron and other leftists with their favorite sugar daddy Soros all over the internet. I guess some pigs are more equal than others, huh?
“So why is Musk as a private citizen not allowed to intervene in foreign policy, and Soros as a private citizen is allowed to fund hundreds of political organizations abroad?”
“European Union bureaucrats are threatening to wage lawfare against Elon Musk and 𝕏 because Musk plans to interview conservative German politician Alice Weidel on Thursday.
The stakes of this are clear. For eighty years, Americans have been made to spend trillions of dollars to “protect democracy” in Europe. Even now, Europe is utterly dependant on America for its own security. The hundreds of billions of dollars we’ve spent in Ukraine have all been to protect Europeans.
If all this is going to happen, then at a minimum, Europe should actually be FREE — with real free speech and real elections.
The Trump Administration should be clear: Future American military, economic, and diplomatic support for Europe is dependent on a continued right to free speech. If Europe wants China-style speech controls, then they can pay for it themselves, and our protections will be removed.”
I watched the roll call of electoral votes yesterday and was thankful it was over with and done. I know many took great delight in KH having to swallow her pride but honestly she carried out her task with much grace. It was a different side of her to witness but I felt she handled the awkward situation very well.
I care about people becoming billionaires because our government creates them; they do not create themselves. We have more important things to spend money on. I’m with HRW on this one: give them a trophy, name a dog park after them, and tax the residue. We might hope to balance a budget some day while behaving compassionately and responsiblely towards the needy and oppressed.
our government misuses a lot of money. Most of us take advantage of it one way or another, knowingly or not. I would prefer it not but until we the people are ready to say no thank you, it will continue.
Government programs are created for people to take advantage of —and people who need them should use them without shame, but with gratitude. That’s what they’re for . My biggest complaint about billionaires is that they are not a natural phenomenon but a creation of government policy AND they also have an outsized affect on government.
I do not care if people are or become millionaires or billionaires, as long as I don’t have to be one.

“CNN just ran a five-minute segment attacking @elonmusk for speaking out against the r*pe gang scandal in the UK.
This is how they framed it:
Tapper: “Musk is taking aim at a staunch U.S. ally.”
Chyron: “Elon Musk lashes out at UK Prime Minister.”
Robertson: “Elon Musk is dialing up attacks on European politicians.”
Chyron: “European leaders push back on Elon Musk’s influence.”
Robertson: “Musk is using his social media platform X to trash UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.”
Starmer clip: “Poison of the far right.”
Robertson: “Musk’s inaccurate and sensationalist accusations are catching UK politicians off guard.”
Robertson: “How far right does [Musk] want to take them?”—-
Absolutely disgusting. This is CNN.”

“What happened when police caught a grooming gang abuser in the act next to their station?
Nothing. He told them what he was doing, and they politely drove away.
Despite attacking victims as young as 11, he was released last month. He served 9 years of his 19-year sentence.”
