  2. Britain is lost.

“Read @DrDominicGreen in @TheFP on the biggest peacetime crime–and cover-up–in British history:”

    https://www.thefp.com/p/muslim-grooming-gangs-cover-up-keir-starmer-elon-musk

“The grooming and serial rape of thousands of English girls by men of mostly Pakistani Muslim background over several decades is the biggest peacetime crime in the history of modern Europe. It went on for many years. It is still going on. And there has been no justice for the vast majority of the victims.

British governments, both Conservative and Labour, hoped that they had buried the story after a few symbolic prosecutions in the 2010s. And it looked like they had succeeded—until Elon Musk read some of the court papers and tweeted his disgust and bafflement on X over the new year.

Britain now stands shamed before the world. The public’s suppressed wrath is bubbling to the surface in petitions, calls for a public inquiry, and demands for accountability.

The scandal is already reshaping British politics. It’s not just about the heinous nature of the crimes. It’s that every level of the British system is implicated in the cover-up.

Social workers were intimidated into silence. Local police ignored, excused, and even abetted pedophile rapists across dozens of cities. Senior police and Home Office officials deliberately avoided action in the name of maintaining what they called “community relations.” Local councilors and Members of Parliament rejected pleas for help from the parents of raped children. Charities, NGOs, and Labour MPs accused those who discussed the scandal of racism and Islamophobia. The media mostly ignored or downplayed the biggest story of their lifetimes. Zealous in their incuriosity, much of Britain’s media elite remained barnacled to the bubble of Westminster politics and its self-serving priorities.

They did this to defend a failed model of multiculturalism, and to avoid asking hard questions about failures of immigration policy and assimilation. They did this because they were afraid of being called racist or Islamophobic. They did this because Britain’s traditional class snobbery had fused with the new snobbery of political correctness.”

Here’s the list. Like in the UK their are politicians who do nothing to stop the rape and abuse of US women and girls, and in fact work against efforts to stop it.

  4. Nothing to see here. Just Democrats protecting predators, and punishing someone who dared to try and protect, as well as advocate for victims.

The Democrat party is the party of pedophile enablers. These are facts people.

“Elon Musk is helping bring maximum awareness of The Democrat Party protecting criminals who sexually abuse children

California Rep Bill Essayli brought a bill to protect children from pedophiles, Democrats responded BY REMOVING HIM FROM ALL COMMITTEES (This is real)

“I just got word that I’m being removed from my committees. Some of you will recall last week, I brought a bill to remove sanctuary state protection for pedophiles in the state of California, and the Democrats here did not like that. So they cut off my microphone, and I just got word the speaker of the state assembly who runs the place has removed me from my committees.”

  5. Money laundering from Democrats using our tax dollars.

“They’re now openly admitting it. The $42 billion high speed internet program money was laundered and used for programs it wasn’t intended for

How they did it: The FCC awarded Elon Musk’s Starlink $885 million to serve 642,925 homes

Joe Biden targeted Elon Musk, revoked the contract after buying Twitter and then Democrats turned around and made a deal that “cost $100,000 per home”, but spent the money on their radical agenda instead

They are literally openly admitting the $42 billion was laundered to be used for their radical agenda, not what it was intended for

“So what has happened in the process of $42 billion being allocated for Americans to get internet?”

“What they’ve been doing so far is advancing a wishlist of progressive policy goals. They’ve been pushing for DEI requirements, climate change, agenda preferences for government run networks, rather than just focusing on getting people connected.”

  6. I’m confused by 12:26. “They’re now openly admitting it. The $42 billion high speed internet program money was laundered and used for programs it wasn’t intended for”

Who is the “they” openly admitting it? Who is the guy is in the video? He doesn’t sound like he’s part of the “they”.

  8. $42 billion spent, and not a single US household is connected to the high speed network the $42 billion was supposed to fund.

    See the problem?

    https://www.benton.org/headlines/kamala-harris%E2%80%99s-rural-broadband-flop

“2021 Vice President Kamala Harris (D-CA) agreed to lead the administration’s $42 billion plan for expanding high-speed internet to millions of Americans. That year, she tweeted that “we can bring broadband to rural America today.” Today, nearly three years after Congress passed the infrastructure bill that created the program, not one home or business has been connected through it. The Biden-Harris administration recently confirmed that construction projects won’t begin until next year at the earliest, and in many cases not until 2026. Instead of focusing on delivering broadband to unserved areas, the administration has used the program to advance a wish list of political goals. It has adopted regulations that include diversity, equity and inclusion requirements, climate-change rules, price controls, preferences for union labor, and schemes that favor government-run networks. The administration has been handing out wins to favored political groups rather than delivering results. In 2020 Elon Musk’s satellite service, Starlink, won an $885 million award from the Federal Communications Commission to offer high-speed internet to more than 640,000 rural homes and businesses. By a 2023 vote along party lines, the FCC revoked the award. As I noted in my dissent at the time, the FCC’s revocation couldn’t be explained by any objective application of the facts, the law or sound policy. In my view, it amounted to nothing more than regulatory lawfare against one of the left’s top targets: Musk. Rural communities stuck on the wrong side of the digital divide are paying the price.”

  9. Hmnm. 885,000,000 dollars for 640,000 households. Now math is not exactly my strong suit , but isn’t that over a million dollars per household?

If anyone is in doubt about how billionaires get their money, then look no further. Musk may have lost this contract, but shed no tears for the world’s wealthiest man. There’s plenty more money where that came from and he’s hovering over Trump like a paranoid helicopter mom to make sure he gets his share— and part of the working man’s share too through H1B.

There is no legitimate reason why there should be billionaires.

  10. Debra — when a person obtains a billion dollars in wealth, we should give him/her a trophy stating Congrats You Won Capitalism and then name a dog park after them. Anything over a billion is taxed.

Trudeau – He had to resign, he had no choice, his own caucus told him to quit. Once Freeland resigned as his finance minister, it was over for him. She was the most powerful minister and probably had more friends in caucus than Trudeau at this point. As a parliamentary democracy, the prime minister must have the confidence of his party and the House. In this way, it’s more similar to the Speaker job in the US than the president’s job.

Some Trump supporters like to view this with a Trump lens but this is strictly domestic politics. Trudeau was failing in the polls, and with Freeland finally having enough of him, the rest of the Liberal party decided it was time for him to go. I was surprised she didn’t quit earlier — it was quite obvious she had enough of him.

Now our parliament is “pro rogue” (suspended) until late March. The Liberals will have a new leader by then and s/he will be the nominal prime minister but as soon as parliament convenes the other parties will declare a non-confidence vote and since the Liberals are a minority they will lose.

My guess is Freeland will be the new leader. She will probably improve the Liberal polls but not enough to prevent in Conservative win in the election which will happen in early May. Hopefully, she will limit the Conservatives to a minority since I trust them less than I do the Liberals who I don’t trust either.

There’s a lot of false or not quite true information floating around X these days. Musk has more or less let anything go and has probably shared some of the false information himself.

The original Rotherham scandal was years ago and not all of it was persecuted — mostly due to time constraints, incompetence, etc. Although some of it was authorities reluctant to accuse racial groups, the class factor was also huge. The girls involved came from working class families and the council estates (essentially what in America would be termed “trailer trash”) and were ignored. The Guardian which I read almost daily and which covered this in depth years ago has little to say now — there’s not much new.

I’m not sure why Musk is digging this up right now — eye balls to a declining X audience? political ambitions in England? his own morbid interest?

However, there are much stronger penalties in the UK and Europe for spreading false information and a lot less leeway to the press. Musk might be pushing his luck and it explains why the Guardian is not covering the “new” information as intensely as it did years ago — the “new” information may not be legal to print – you can’t print rumours and innuendo in the UK the same way you can in the US. Libel laws are tighter there.

Meanwhile Norway and the EU have already said if false information is knowingly published on X, they will hold Musk responsible. Europeans have less respect for the immensely wealthy and their political system is harder to purchase. It will be interesting to watch.
