It’s easier said than done, to keep focused on God rather than on fears and what ifs. I think for myself, it helps at waiting times to be intensely in the moment, fully engaged so thoughts don’t wander downhill. Repeating memorized Scripture can be a big help along with intense prayer for others and self. It helps me to go walk and pray while I walk. Cats help, too!
