Good morning from chilly Atlanta. We’ve had a drop in temps by 34°. The heat is on since the outside temp is 42° currently. Glad to get into my cuddly warm clothes again.
My animal loving, dog-walking friend thinks I should not risk putting up or even pulling out a flocked tree with Miss Bosley in the house. She suggested I give the tree to Son. Feeling a bit down considering I have not had a tree in years. I will see if it can fit in that up high and inaccessible space above that closet.
The grandson’s first instrument is alto sax. He plays tenor sax, too, and has had to learn a bit about all the different instruments, since he will be a music teacher. His mother plays only stringed instruments, as did his grandfather, so wind instruments is a new thing for us all. New, as in all the ins and outs of taking care of and using the instrument. He and his brother do play some by ear, as well, which his mom and grandpa also do. I pray he will use his gift well whatever he does.

We only had snowflakes come down. Nothing is sticking yet. At the daycare where one of my daughters works, they had just a trace on the ground. However, her whole class of preschoolers was so excited that they all immediately went out to make snow angels. That is quite a challenge when the whole ground is not even covered. Oh, the joy of children!
We’re having our first snow of the year today, not much so far. BUT we haven’t had a killing frost yet (just two extremely light frosts), so multiple species of wildflowers still in bloom. Yesterday it was supposed to reach 70 degrees or so, with an overnight low (and today’s high) of 35.
In other words, yesterday I went out and photographed wildflowers with bees, wasps, skippers, and lots of flies, and today I went out and photographed the same flowers with snow on them.
The mountains in N. Georgia may see flurries tomorrow morning.
Son just sent some great photos he took of a red-shouldered hawk perched on a sign at his apartment complex. I was surprised he could get so many photos of it. I asked if it was a drone. He thought that was funny.

We will get in the 50 degrees range today and more melting of our white stuff Kevin! More coming next week just in time for Thanksgiving. 🦃
