  1. I did a thing. The Christmas tree is in the living room!🎄😊

Heading over to drop off a couple bags to Goodwill then over to the coffee shoppe to meet with my sweet friends. ☕️

  2. NJ – I did a thing, too!

I bought a new, three-foot, pre-lit Christmas tree, with some “snow” on the branches to go on my living room “mantel” (which is really the top of my entertainment center). In the past, I haven’t been interested in the ones with fake snow on them, but having seen one in person, decided it would be nice.

It was delivered on Wednesday evening, and I put it up right away. All I did for decorating it was to put a red bow at the top, and a silky red scarf around the stand. With the “snow” and the multi-colored lights on, it looks nice and cute!

Yesterday, I dove into the rest of my Christmas decorating.

I have never done it this early! But having been dealing with some depression and difficult situations this year, I decided that I needed “a little Christmas, right this very minute” like the song says. 🙂

  3. Not so certain that tail is winning… little kitty is tenacious!!!😂

Kizzie that sounds lovely. I kept thinking we keep autumn stuff out from August to November . Christmas usually gets 3 weeks. This year I needed some soft glowy lights to smile upon…and Christmas music. Frank Sinatra is now singing Have yourself a Merry little Christmas….dont mind if I do!!!! 🎄🎄🎄

  4. I got a tree with lights last year. This year I’m wondering if I will even put it up. No one comes to my house and it is above the street so you don’t see much.

Hmmm. Have to think about it. But, as kids, we always put our tree up on Christmas Eve after dinner. Because that day was my brother’s birthday. After his birthday dinner, then we would put up Christmas things. As a child, it helped. As soon as the tree was all up, you went to bed and then it was Christmas.

  5. I do believe that was the tradition in days of old Jo…go out and get a tree on Christmas Eve, decorate it and go to bed! When I was a child we brought in the live tree a week or so ahead of Christmas. Those old timey hot lights sure did heat up the pine branches causing our tiny home to smell like a pine forest! Oh those bubble lights and big bulbs that would burn one’s fingers! Those were the days!!

No one comes to our home for Christmas either. And I have cut way back on decorations giving most of my garland and ornaments away. I have a few clip on birds to put on the tree and crystal icicles. Nothing fancy. The lights cause me to smile.
