Her assertion- Perhaps this is understandable. As the Democrats spin out ever more inventive forms of insanity, there is increasing pressure to vote for whoever is not the Democrat, even as the Republicans Party tacks farther and farther left With that pressure comes an increasing discomfort with the feeling of being politically homeless, of not having a tribe to call one’s own. It is certainly a lonely place to be.
That rings hollow for me. It is clear there is a good over evil in the two parties and while there are Republicans who lean to the left I certainly don’t see the party leaning that way.
And that clip of Biden… sort of reminded me of WC Fields… “go away kid you’re bothering me”! 😂
I read the article Kathaleena linked from worldmag. One thing that struck me was that the writer states that the Republican party has been ‘tacking farther and farther left’ on a range of issues. But some here see the party going much farther right under Trump. It seems our right/left paradigm may not quite define what’s happening. I have felt that way sometimes but lack a good handle on another frame of reference.
So who will get the seat being vacated by Gaetz in FL? Does DeSantis appoint someone? Wouldn’t the Republicans want to make certain they keep the House and Senate? Rubio comes to mind as well…I’m confused..in a good sort of way maybe😊

Wow, heads must be exploding in DC about now. Matt Gaetz for AG, Tulsi Gabord for DNI, Pete Hegseth for DoD….just wow (in a good way).
These picks are a signal that he’s in dead earnest about his agenda. And he’s picked people who are not afraid to fight for it.
I was thinking it might be time to get the popcorn and a seat with HRW, but on my knees in earnest prayer might be the wiser choice.

The replacements for Gaetz and Rubio will be chosen by Gov DeSantis. They will hold the seat until the next general election.
