Things are not going as planned. I started my colonoscopy prep on schedule. Then last night around 2 am I was vomiting and cramps. Then I woke at 4 to finish the last half the Gatorade and Miralax, same thing. Half a glass down, comes right back up. Haven’t slept since. I’m bloated, irritable, cramping, and nauseous, next to no sleep. I have a feeling this may not happen today. Off to the hospital now.
Praying they can do the test anyway, Aj. I went through 3 preps this last winter. The third finally allowed for the test. I have not been through anything like you, however. Fiercely praying to the Great Physician!
Praying for you, AJ. That is very concerning. Did you not receive that big gallon jug with the powder in it? Maybe because of your special situation? So much Gatorade seems like would do bad things to blood pressure. Maybe vomiting was a good thing to keep blood pressure from rising too high? But who am I to question doctor’s orders?
I’m home now, the colonoscopy needs to be rescheduled, and they will do a different type of prep for next time.
Sleepy, miserable, and still in a lot of discomfort. They said it should sort itself out as the prep passes thru and out. If things worsen I will need to go to the ER.
That is one “test” medical science really has to find — (and they will) — a kinder, gentler alternative for someday. 😦 Try to rest up from that poison “prep” cocktail. Sorry it’s not all completely over, but hopefully it’ll go a little easier next time.
I did three different preps, AJ, FWIW. The Gatorade, Powerade and finally one that involved only water with a lot of pills. I could not keep any of the ades down. I didn’t do real well with the last one and it involved getting up hours before. However, it finally did the trick. Terrible stuff.

Praying, AJ, that does not sound like a “good” morning. 😦 Hope it all gets ‘fixed.’

Continued prayers for those in harms way in Florida. Son’s power went off 2 hrs ago and the hurricane has not made landfall yet.

Certainly, prayers for all in Florida.
