  1. “How was Ryan Routh, “a man with no money for child support,” able to suddenly start living in a pricey house in Hawaii and afford flights to Taiwan, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine?

Why has Routh “never served a day in jail” when he has “100 different counts” to his name?

Why was Routh’s fiance okay with him flying to Ukraine for months at a time?

How was he able to feed himself in Ukraine when he only had “$68 in [his] bank account.”

“And everywhere he goes, he gets press from the local papers to the New York Times to Newsweek.”

The whole thing stinks, and it suggests that someone other than his “fiance” was supporting him.”

  2. “In April 2024, Col. Earl Matthews, general counsel for DC National Guard, gave a detailed account as to how Army Sec Ryan McCarthy was unreachable the afternoon of Jan 6 for final authorization to deploy guard.

Matthews also discussed Gen. Milley’s suspicious conduct before J6″

  3. “Transcripts reveal President Trump did, in fact, notify top Pentagon officials of his desire for National Guard deployment on #J6.

GENERAL MARK MILLEY, CHAIRMAN, JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF: “[January 3, 2021] The President just says,‘Hey, look at this. There’s going to be a large amount ofprotesters here on the 6th, make sure that you have sufficient National Guard or Soldiers to make sure it’s asafe event.’”

“[POTUS said] ‘Hey, I don’t care if you use Guard, or Soldiers, active duty Soldiers, do whatever you have to do. Just make sure it’s safe.’”

Orders that Milley and company clearly disobeyed.

  4. “Meet Cheree Peoples, a single mother from California whose daughter was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, a rare condition that can cause constant hospitalization.

In 2012, California AG Kamala Harris said she was cracking down on truancy, and her target became Ms. Peoples. She laughed as she said she was sending her meanest prosecutors to throw this mother in jail.

People’s daughter, Shayla, was in an out of the hospital and even had an arrangement worked out with the school so she wouldn’t fall behind in work.

Harris didn’t care. Cheree spent the next two years fighting in court to avoid going to jail and losing custody. Kamala Harris didn’t care one bit. Cheree lost her job, her home, and her pride fighting this case. After two years, she was innocent, but the damage was done. The only silver lining is this story is that through her hard work and dedication, her daughter graduated.

Do you know what Kamala Harris had to say about this? She laughed and said she was going to do what she wanted. Do we really want someone like that to become President?”

  5. A fed op, and Milley’s dirty little fingers are all over it.

But let’s be like the media, and pretend this didn’t happen.

    Congressional testimony, on the record.

“Mark Milley helped Army Sec Ryan McCarthy craft a Jan 5, 2021 memo requiring McCarthy’s approval before DC Guard Major Gen William Walker could deploy his troops.

This was a new provision. One would think McCarthy would’ve been standing by to give the green light.

    He was not”

“Well well … what do we have here.

In new transcripts, General Milley confirms that days before January 6, President Trump requested “sufficient National Guard or Soldiers to make sure it’s a safe event.”

Milley & others, including Pelosi, “unnecessarily delayed the DC National Guard response to the Capitol…due to “optics” concerns.”

They framed President Trump so they could try to nail him with their “insurrection” BS.”

  6. Yesterday, the question of whether or not people seem angrier over politics came up. As for me, I have seen more anger and contempt (bordering on hatred) expressed during this election cycle than ever before. One way that is expressed is in the fake videos, photos, or stories that have no other aim other than to paint particular politicians in a very bad light – especially in relation to their personal lives – to ruin their reputations.

But it also comes across in the prefaces they might write for their posts, or in their comments.

I would like to think that there are many more in the more moderate middle (not necessarily meant in a political way, but often so) who are the ones shaking their heads at the vitriol and anger that is swirling around on social media.

  7. Also yesterday, Debra mentioned the labels we put on others or ourselves.

Labels are a kind of double-edged sword. One edge allows us a shorthand to understand what a person might think about a certain matter. The other edge brands that label into them like a scarlet letter, with the one wielding the brand not only sure of where the other person stands on issues, but also then totally dismissing anything they might have to say.

Labeling a person as a “Never-Trumper” or “MAGA” (when used by one on the other side) seems to have that affect.

  8. Kizzie, neither of those labels is pejorative. And when they come up, those are the golden opportunities to clarify your positions—to demonstrate why you think the label does or does not apply to you or to someone else.

  9. Polls do show higher levels of anger in this election cycle — and I find it all pretty evident and often on display.

One reason, said one piece I read, is that social media platforms have figured out how to monetize anger, using algorithms that reward outrage to keep users doomscrolling … another is that exploiting anger is politically convenient. … The strategic use of anger in politics has transformed it from a natural human emotion into a weapon of division.

  10. Yet the boomer couple above is looking at years in prison for peacefully walking thru the capital.

Our “justice system” is a joke.

“Hundreds of masked radical pro-terror demonstrators took over the NYC subway last night, many carrying Hamas and Hezbollah flags.

NYC needs to institute anti-masking laws now. If you are healthy enough to riot, you are healthy enough not to wear a mask.”

  11. I don’t know much of anything about French politics, but I had thought Macron was holding onto power by the skin of his teeth. Perhaps the French people are not excited to see war expand to the entire Middle East. As much as I support Israel, I don’t like that idea either. I’m afraid it won’t end well for Israel or anyone else.

  14. And in actual news there is this article from Bloomberg. The sources wish to remain anonymous because the information is ‘private’ whatever that means. But it looks like this week the Ukrainian president will be touring an American factory in Pennsylvania that produces ‘much needed munitions’. So apparently we’re expected to pony up once again. Didn’t we just see an article posted here a few days ago from the WSJ that bemoans our own country’s unprepared military condition?
