  1. I am pretty sure most of us are intelligent enough to know that everything posted here or elsewhere on the internet is not true. I do not need everyone who posts on a thread to post every nuance of a subject. I can explore elsewhere for other POVs. There are many things we will not know all the truth because we are not God. Different sites post from different POV. X can certainly be all over. Wikipedia gets a whole lot of stuff wrong. I would certainly try to post the truth, but I may find out now or years from now that I was wrong. So, beware what I post everyone and check it out yourself. I will do the same with your posts.

  2. Stealing another of Trump’s policies and completely flip flopping. She’s a fraud.

“Kamala Harris wants to build a border wall after telling people for years that walls are a bad idea and don’t work.

Kamala Harris has also dyed her hair gold and has changed her last name to Trump.According to Axios, Harris is pledging to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a southern border wall, something she once called “un-American.”

The development further proves that Harris doesn’t actually believe in anything.

The Trump campaign has referred to her as a “chameleon” because she morphs into whatever someone wants her to be.

Here is Harris cracking up at the idea of building a wall.”

  3. Nothing to see….

Just the next attempt at stealing another election.

“They’ve found roughly 10,000 illegal aliens registered to vote in Texas and AlabamaAnd those states have Republican legislatures, voter ID, and actual law enforcement

Can you imagine how many illegal aliens are registered in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, and Philadelphia?

    Hundreds of thousands

Possibly millions across all blue cities in America

This is a national epidemic that needs federal intervention”

This is why the left wants so many illegal aliens here!”

  4. I love that the people so worried about lies in the media never get around to pointing out the lies from their preferred sources with regard to Trump and Russia. Lies still up and uncorrected as of today.

Wikipedia is also trash as a source, and shouldn’t be used by anyone who hopes to have credibility left after doing so.

“The biggest election integrity fixes for a swing state are from Georgia and not because of RINOs Kemp and Raffensberger

    It’s despite them

3 brave election board members appointed by the state legislature and GOP have made massive improvements the past few months

Now Kemp is trying to remove them from the Board”

“Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is now asking the Attorney General whether he has the authority to REMOVE the three brave members of the State Election Board who have been implementing massive election integrity reforms

Democrat state legislators sent a letter to Kemp asking him to remove the members for “ethics violations,” and Kemp’s office is now asking the AG whether the Governor has the authority to do so

“This office has received Senator Nabilah Islam Parkes and other’s letters alleging ethics violations by members of the State Elections Board. Due to uncertainty regarding whether this office has authority to act under Code Section 45-10-4 in response to these complaints, we have sought the Attorney General’s advice regarding the application of the statute to the letters. We will respond following receipt of this advice and further evaluation of the letters.”

Obviously, the ethics complaints are complete GARBAGE. They just want to eliminate Members Janelle King, Janice Johnston, and Rick Jeffries because they are bravely securing the 2024 election. There’s no way the governor has the authority to remove them because he did not appoint all of them. He got to appoint one person, the state house and senate picked two, and the two major political parties picked the last two. The governor may be able to fire his own appointee but he didn’t appoint any of the three brave members

In conclusion, Democrats are in panic because Trump will win Georgia due to the election integrity reforms of the Board, and now they are trying every dirty tactic to stop the changes from being implemented.”

  6. AJ – One thing that Wikipedia has going for it is that sources are listed and linked to so that people can verify or disbelieve what is written in the article. (BTW, you have quoted from Wikipedia sometimes as well, when it suited your purposes. I remember chuckling a little bit one day when you quoted a Wikipedia article not long after having upbraided me for doing the same.)

    *******

Kathaleena – I am sorry if my comment yesterday was offensive to you. Unfortunately, I see too many fellow believers sharing posts and videos from X (other sites occasionally, too, but mostly from X) that turn out to be twisting the truth or completely making it up, often bearing false witness against the political persons they dislike. But they don’t bother to double check what is being said because it aligns with what they already believe or want to believe, and so sound plausible to them.

People in general – even very intelligent people – tend to believe what aligns with their preconceptions. And I know that some here have mentioned trusting the posts that AJ shares here.

I am very grateful for a wise friend from my former church who taught me to double check posts before sharing them. When I was new on Facebook, about 15 years ago, I would share stories that other friends had shared without realizing that these stories could not be taken at face value.

These were not the kind of stories we see today related to political persons, but posts that were supposed to be uplifting stories but weren’t actually true, or others that were modern urban legends that sounded plausible.

Even today, many of the posts that were debunked years ago still go around Facebook or other sites, shared by otherwise intelligent people.

  7. As far as that whole Trump and Russia story, it was not one that I was following, so I did not bother to pursue it. In fact, I only knew about it from the posts here. The sources I read at the time were not posting about it, that I could see. Or I was unaware of them.

  8. Art and I have been watching Janelle King for some years on the Georgia Gang. She is such a fine speaker and so we’ll informed on the issues. We have been missing her on The Georgia Gang since she recently took the position on the election board. I am sad to see what all she is going through now. I do get the point that these three election board members were either at the RNC or at a Trump rally and as election board members they are suppose to act as non-partisan. I truly wish they’d stayed at home. I know everything about the election bored has been mired in conflict for some years, and turnover of members has been constant. Considering what all Georgia has been through, none of this current scenario is unexpected.

  9. When I do use Wiki, it’s mostly to placate someone who thinks they have credibility, hence my posting from it. Peak in a language they understand.

It’s leftist run, edited, and updated by liberals for liberals, at least when it comes to issues political in nature. It’s fine for looking up movie trivia and city / landmark info, but I wouldn’t trust it much beyond that.

  10. Wiki is not good place to find truth, but it’s not a bad starting place for someone who has no knowledge at all about a topic. As with any source you have to be skeptical and verify. I also sometimes have scoured the links in the bibliography for alternate opinions or information.
