It’s 81° with low humidity. A perfect day to be outside. I was supposed to be with friends this afternoon, but one was exposed to Covid so we are playing it safe and not getting together.
Hello again. Busy Friday today. There was no Internet this morning, so I started painting the kitchen. Later I called Spectrum. The AI told me there was no issues system wide so I needed to reboot the modem. When asked if I needed a tutorial I said no. The kind female bot said if I needed a guide to go to spectrum.net. Ha ha. If I have no Internet how do I go to a website? I hope whoever listens the recordings heard me say that.
I finished the painting so I mowed the lawn. Almost done with the front yard and it quit. I couldn’t pull the cord which meant some grass got caught in the belt. I cleaned it out and it still won’t start. Back to the repair shop!
Plus, we’re getting ready for a family reunion tomorrow which we are hosting at the cave.
Peter – Do you have a smart phone? My grandson taught me to use mine as a “hotspot” near my laptop to access the internet when it is down.
Of course, I’ll probably have to ask him again whenever the next time comes around that I might need it. But I will poke around in my phone first, to see if I can figure it out on my own. Sometimes I do figure things out on my own, and am so proud of myself! 😀 (The problem is that I very likely will not remember how I got to it the next time.)
I think a switch from the “Wi-fi” setting to “Data” (I think that’s what it’s called) can access the internet on the phone. I may have that mixed up with something else, though.
I do not use a smart phone, but if I did I doubt I would use the hot spot.
As for the kitchen, it’s not very big and most of the wall space is cabinets. I used about half a quart of semi-gloss. I had to move the stove and fridge, but I only put one coat behind them, thinking no one will see that space. Oh, and I put on the second coat after mowing and having lunch.
