Someone called Trump a bozo saying he would lose this election. That made me laugh. Just the thought of how it was once a lesser of two evils and now is a contest between two bozos!! I’ll take Trump for the win.
And those Democrats must believe us all to be bozos eh? It has been denied over and over again by the left and their sympathizers that Biden won by cheating. Let the light shine on the darkness!! And you know they aren’t going to give up now…third world politics.
Speaking of. I listened to the Situation room with Michael Brown yesterday while in the car. Interviewed was a woman from Atlanta revealing how the Dems were going around picking people off the street and paying them to attend the Harris rally. She said this was nothing new in the world of Democrats doing this..they have been doing this for years. She did mention that most of those bought and paid for “supporters” grew tired of Ms Word Salad and the hype and they took their money and free meals and left!
In an election decided by 11k votes, and 10k, that we know of, are fraudulent double votes, it’s certainly reasonable to ask questions. Kemp doesn’t want to answer those questions because he’s ultimately responsible for vote integrity in his State. He has refused to address obvious fraud, and the potential for even more in Nov.
Plus I don’t remember all the hand wringing when Kemp and Rafensburg were bashing Trump.
But now it’s an issue?

Does he think his opponent is Brian Kemp or Kamala Harris?
~ The ascension of Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee has Donald Trump fumbling for an effective strategy. But in the meantime he’s reopening old feuds with fellow Republicans. That will work about as well for him as it did in 2020.
Mr. Trump used a campaign appearance in Georgia on Saturday to tee off on the state’s GOP Governor, Brian Kemp, and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Both men won re-election in 2022, despite Mr. Trump’s vocal opposition, even as Trump-backed candidates lost elsewhere. But no matter, Mr. Trump will never forgive either man for not joining his attempt to overturn the 2020 election in the Peach State.
“He’s a bad guy, he’s a disloyal guy and he’s a very average Governor,” Mr. Trump told the crowd about Mr. Kemp. He even took a shot at the Governor’s wife. Mr. Trump added that “Wasn’t for me, he would not be your Governor. I think everybody knows that.” Actually, everybody knows that Mr. Kemp won in 2022 with 53.4% of the vote against Democratic media darling Stacey Abrams, while Mr. Trump lost the state by 12,000 votes in 2020.
Mr. Trump also cost Republicans two Senate seats in special elections in January 2021 when he told his partisans that the November election had been stolen. Turnout was down in Republican areas of the state. Why vote if your candidate says your ballot won’t count?
Mr. Trump’s rants are especially counterproductive because he needs Mr. Kemp’s organization in Georgia. Mr. Kemp is supporting the former President and is deploying his turnout machine, but Mr. Trump may convince many of those Republicans to vote for someone else or stay home as they did in 2020.
Mr. Trump won’t win if he’s fighting about the past instead of laying out an agenda for the future. But he simply can’t help himself. ~
“I served my first two years in Congress with Tim Walz on the House Veterans Committee.

Keep in mind, this is the same guy who wants to give illegal aliens free health care & drivers licenses.
Walz is bad for our veterans and horrible for our country!
AJ – Last night, DJ mentioned ” fellow Republicans”, not naming Kemp in particular. (Although she did bring him up today, in response to your comments.)
~ “Plus I don’t remember all the hand wringing when Kemp and Rafensburg were bashing Trump.
But now it’s an issue?” ~
The difference is that Trump is running for president and needs the support not only of fellow Republicans but also of voters who might support those other Republicans. That is why it is an issue now.
Polling aggregates suggest a 0.8 to 1% lead for Trump.
If 1% of Kemp supporters decide to stay home because of Trump’s personal attacks, he loses.
Even worse, if some members of the Georgia Republican party who work “to get out the vote” for Kemp do not volunteer for Trump, he definitely loses.
Despite this Trump demands adherence to his leadership. And in November, he will blame Kemp again despite his inability to compromise.
Penn, Nevada, and Georgia are currently more or less tied while Wisc, Mich have gone Dem and North Carolina and Arizona look to be Republican. The math is starting to favor the Democrats …..Trump needs to be a better man instead of the pettiness he is currently demonstrating.
Yes, the goal of political parties — once their conventions are over their ticket is set — is to bring home any disaffected factions within the part.
Divided parties have a difficult time winning national elections by more than a hair. And candidates who understand that won’t engage in circular firing squads — if they are wise.
But that last part — about wisdom — is the key, it all depends on the party’s candidate(s) and how they exercise wisdom (or, usually out of hubris, don’t).
I see the Walz Republican playbook has been released – I’m sure they had that one ready. The best is the complaint Shapiro was a better candidate – I’m sure they had a Shapiro playbook ready to go too.
For a VP pick, he was safe. He might help with Wisc, Mich, or Penn but in reality it’ll make little difference either way. He does seem to have an ability to relate to working class whites of the Midwest and thus brings something for Harris. Not much different than what Biden brought to Obama.
Shapiro might have a better pick in order to secure Penn but I’m sure he will still campaign for Harris. The Democrats will poll which areas of Pennsylvania he is stronger than Harris and he will go there. I’d expect to see him in white suburbs of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Shapiro will do what Trump needs Kemp to do for him but one wonders if the cooperation will be there.
Its not anti-Jewish to be anti-Israeli or even against current Israeli policy. I suspect Dearborn will still turn out for Harris. In a two party state, its not like there’s a lot of choice for Arabs and others critical of Israel and the US policy of support.
I am glad Harris made such an extreme selection. It makes the contrast even more apparent. This is good. And if God should allow them to win by whatever means then the demise will go more quickly. If that should be God’s plan, I will feel sadly accepting but trust in Him to make good come out of evil for His divine purposes.
Unfortunately with Trump, it’s (always) ‘all about Trump.’
Voters may be growing weary of that.
And HRW is correct, the movement right now is in the Democrats’ favor. Whether that can be sustained or not, we’ll see. But with Trump continuing to “be Trump,” it may provide some ongoing momentum for the blue team.
And I also think Shapiro would have been a wiser choice for collecting some of the disaffected independents, conservatives and moderates.
And it would have perhaps made some more moderate Dems happier as well – ex-college boyfriend, a very moderate lifelong, old-school Democrat, was hopeful Shapiro would be the pick.
But it’s all political calculations and trade-offs and playbooks, so apparently that pushed this particular VP choice instead.
Democrats will be easy to unify this year — the party as a whole is very motivated.
Many Dems of all stripes in the party were quoted as saying they’d pretty much support any VP nominee going forward, it didn’t matter. The ’24 election was too important to have a divided party going into November.
So that is what the (divided) Republican Party faces.
~ One of the first rules when it comes to a vice presidential pick is to “Do no harm.” Harris likely did no harm with this pick. Walz served 12 years in the US House and is currently in his second term as governor. He can’t be attacked for having little experience, unlike his Republican counterpart Vance, who is the least liked vice president nominee coming out of his party’s convention on record. …
… What we can say, though, is that Walz is not likely to help Harris with many swing voters. He did less than a point better than Biden in Minnesota when he won reelection in 2022. In fact, Shapiro seems to have done better with White voters without a college degree in Pennsylvania than Walz did with the same demographic in his state two years ago.
And even if Walz had been an electoral juggernaut, it remains to be seen whether he can help the Democratic ticket outside his home state.
If Harris ends up losing Pennsylvania and the election by a small margin, it will be one of history’s great “what-ifs.” Did she not choose Shapiro because she was afraid of the online left?
Harris, of course, is hoping the election won’t be that close. She seems to have momentum, and the Walz pick will probably do nothing to impede it. ~
She couldn’t select Shapiro. Her Jew hating left flank, aka, her base, would go ballistic. She needs them more than Shapiro. Plus she’s confident enough self loathing Jews will still vote for her.
In looking up the pronunciation, it appears to be waalz, ending in a zuh instead walls which ends in a suh sound. I had to figure out the zuh and suh myself as it is so similar.

I am happy for Kathaleena and others in her state.

Is Walz pronounced like the plural of wall (walls) or like the dance (waltz)?

Saw this online:
the pronunciation is “walls” — with no “t” sound

She couldn’t select Shapiro. Her Jew hating left flank, aka, her base, would go ballistic. She needs them more than Shapiro. Plus she’s confident enough self loathing Jews will still vote for her.

In looking up the pronunciation, it appears to be waalz, ending in a zuh instead walls which ends in a suh sound. I had to figure out the zuh and suh myself as it is so similar.
