Grateful that my “other” (nonsurgical) knee check-up went well; this is for a small tear in the meniscus but the knee otherwise (from the earlier MRI) looks fine and has no other issues.

So I don’t go back to this doctor unless something changes; he says sometimes these do sort of “go away” — but so far it’s not impacting my walking or causing any other issues. He said to come back if something changes.

But I am headed back to PT on his advice for some added physical helps (as surgery -“other”- knee remains a tad stiff at times and stairs can still pose a challenge).

Grateful for doctors and our medical care and procedures nowadays. To think that folks had to just live (and limp) with these things.

Janice, I see that was resolved on another thread, welcome back.

This is a totally random prayer that came to me today as I was driving to and from the knee doctor (whom I had to see in his “other” office today). I was driving on one of our newer freeways and recalled the movie — forget the name but it starred Bruce Willis — where they were on a crazy car chase on a freeway (that ended in mid-air).

It was actually that freeway I was on — it was still under construction when that movie was being filmed. I remember one of our photographers got wind of the shooting schedule and went out there for some shots.

Anyway, the freeway, which heads into LAX, is now done, but I haven’t driven on it all that much and it brought Willis to mind with the serious cognitive disorder he has been suffering for several years now and which ended his film career.

Have no idea if he’s a believer, but he’s made some fun action movies that many have enjoyed and the illness has been a struggle as his family cares for him.

So prayers for comfort, for medical breakthroughs that could help, even if just marginally. And mostly for his salvation if he doesn’t already know the Lord. Amen.
