Dj, I have heard lots of stories about issues after cataract surgery. Interesting that I never heard a lot of them until my own issues and I knew many people who had the surgery and never had issues. My eyes are much better than they were, but I am not sure if some things will ever completely leave me. I am still grateful for the options we have to save our eyesight as we grow old.
And good morning from here. Another toasty warm day here. Husband visits with daughter for coffee in a couple hours. Maybe he can talk some sense into her!
Good day from the Middle Mississippi Valley. It’s cooled down here after a cold front brought rain yesterday.
The city utility hired a tree service to trim trees around our power lines. Finally! I called them a few years back about it and they came and cut down a cedar tree that was not covering the lines as the oak behind the house is. The crew started down the street Monday and got to us this morning. Their truck is blocking the mailbox so we probably won’t get delivery otday. No big loss. All we ever get is junk and bills.
Good friend of mine has been in bed with a bad case of Covid for days after taking a short trip to San Diego. Her doctor ordered some plaxovid (?) for her to take; now her brother (husband ok so far) is showing symptoms (all in the same household).
Guess it’s the summer spike. Hope whatever it may be passes quickly, AJ.
Kathaleena, yes, overall though — such a huge benefit. Dr says this particular peripheral ‘shadow’ issue — called a ‘negative dysphotopsia’ — comes sometimes with the square lenses they are now using in the surgeries (the round lenses used before caused sometimes more complicated after-effects, he says). Nothing’s perfect. Yet.
It really doesn’t bother me unless I look way down and off to the sides. So I just don’t do that and it now doesn’t bother me at all. 🙂
DJ, that reminds me of the advice I always gave my children when they told me it bothers them or hurts when they do something. “Don’t do that.” Now that they’re adults…I still give them that advice. Best way to get an eye roll from them.
That “x” came from pushing the wrong button when I was just trying to log in.
Years ago when I worked for a dental plan, customer service reps who worked the phone would sometimes have to apologize to customers for having hung up because they pushed the wrong button. So one of them posted a picture of an official customer service phone, complete with a button labeled “The Wrong Button”
(When I say she “posted” it, I mean she had it tacked up to her cube divider. Most people knew no other definition of “posting” back then.)
Summer colds are going around here. Many say it is just allergies. Covid is making its rounds as well but is mimicking the summer cold. Praying your cold heals quickly Aj.😊
I have a new phone. Went with Galaxy S24+ so it would be easier for me to transition to from the previous Galaxy phone. Best Buy had a sale probably because of Amazon Prime Days. We have spent the whole day on this project. I think I am now Anon. Janice
I installed WordPress which suggested I could install Jetpac so I can use Reader again for the blog (no header photo or video, but bolder text). Since I did that, I think I restored my true identity!

So I’ve caught something apparently. Sneezing, coughing, fever, the works.
Yay me.
I’m avoiding the doctor, because a positive covid test would delay my surgery on the 1st of August for 7 weeks, due to “protocol” of the hospital.
So its just a cold. 😁

Hi Janice 🙂
So it’s Prime Day … and I just got some Amazon pants delivered that need to be turned back for a smaller size (always a nice reason).
