Biden brushes off nervous Dems: Only the ‘Lord Almighty’ could get him to leave the race
Asked during his interview whether he would step down if he became convinced he could not beat Trump, Biden said he would only do so “if the Lord Almighty comes down” and tells him to.
“If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race,” Biden said.
“The Lord Almighty’s not coming down,” added Biden, who is a devout Catholic.
“BREAKING: Judge Cannon just granted Trump’s motion to pause some deadlines in FLA doc case to consider SCOTUS’ immunity opinion and potential impact on the case. Trump’s lawyers filed the motion yesterday”
“By delaying CIPA 5 deadlines—critical test of what sensitive materials can be allowed into evidence during trial among other issues—just took likelihood of this case going to trial before November from slim to none.”
“Here is the full Biden-Stephanopoulos interview. This might be even worse than the debate since this was supposed to be his recovery interview. He fails to answer the basic questions, says nothing of substance, and to the informed audience member, says things that are either inherently wrong or completely nonsensical. There is only one way to describe this Democrat campaign – Disaster.”
Make no mistake, that hall with Congressional offices at the Capitol had video cameras.

In Joe Biden’s prime-time interview with ABC News, the president offered a new explanation for his widely panned debate performance last week, that of a verbally abusive opponent.
Adding to the growing list of excuses for Biden’s shaky and halting debate, the president said former President Donald Trump was loud and distracting when it was Biden’s turn to speak, despite Trump’s mic being turned off by the CNN moderators.
“I realized that, even when I was answering a question and they turned his mic off, he was still shouting, and I let it distract me. I’m not blaming it on that. But I realized that I just wasn’t in control,” Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday evening.
The split-screen telecast does not support Biden’s claims of a disruptive Trump, which showed the former president engaging in expressions of mocking curiosity, but not the loud, boisterous outbursts Biden described.
The White House has spent the last week doing damage control, listing various excuses for the president’s debate performance. Over the past week, Biden has said he was jet lagged from a world tour despite being back in the United States for almost two weeks prior to the debate. A lingering cold was also cited as a reason for Biden’s often slow and often incoherent responses.
The excuses and blaming for his performance are pathetic. At his high level of authority all those excuses don’t cover for the fact that he does not possess the ability to function at the high level for sustained periods required for that position. If he were under scrutiny as a potential new hire for a job in Federal government, even at a much lower level, I don’t think he’d qualify. That position is Commander in Chief of the nation’s armed forces. I feel sad over the whole pathetic mess. Even if Trump had not even been on the stage, there was still the loss of train of thought.
