  1. On Nov 5th, just like 248 years ago, we must stop this tyrannical government and once again bring back freedom for all. It’s time for citizens to band together, refuse tyranny, and fight for independence. Freedom has never been free.

    And with gratitude, put God in first place. He is always with us…

  2. The numbers are down at the border they claim….

    Because they’re just flying them in now instead using an app to set it up. All on the taxpayer’s dime, of course.

    “When Donald Trump was president, Russia didn’t invade Ukraine. Iran didn’t have enough money to fund Hamas, who didn’t invade Israel.

    China wasn’t in a much better place to take Taiwan. Your border was secure.

    Your streets were safer.

    Your dollar was worth more. Your mortgage rate was 2.6%.

    Your unemployment rate was lower.

    And we were energy independent and on our way to being energy dominant.

    The only cult is the cult of idiocy that pervades the left which is now comprised of brainwashed bots who would rather cut their nose off to spite their face than to vote for Donald Trump.

    Get well soon.”

  4. A few days ago, this quote was shared from Libs of TikTok, with the added comment (from the one posting it):

    ~~~ “President Biden, acting within the scope of his official duties, could dispatch the military to take out the conservative justices on the Court” – Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA)
    These are the people who call us a threat to Democracy.” ~~~
    But the fuller quotation shows that Lofgren used that as an example of why she disagrees with the Supreme Court ruling, and was posing it as a hypothetical question. She was not advocating that. In fact, the quote begins with “I guess, you know, theoretically. . .” but that part was left off of it in that post.
    Her response to the social media posts taking her quote out of context:
    ~~~ “Yesterday, when reacting to the Supreme Court’s radical decision that goes against what our country’s founders envisioned after overthrowing a king, I posited a hypothetical scenario mirroring Justice Sotomayor’s dissent for the sake of discussion with a panel that included fellow lawyers on MSNBC. Unfortunately, some people, on social media and elsewhere, have omitted the word ‘theoretically’ that I clearly used to start my sentence to make it seem or read like I was calling for the military to assassinate conservative justices,” Lofgren said in a statement.” ~~~

    Context matters. It was a simple thing to google the quote and find out what the fuller context was. It’s too easy to believe the worst about those on the other political side, and to take at face value social media posts that mirror our preconceptions.

    Here’s the story from Fox News, but with a kind of misleading headline:

  5. New Jobs Data: 1.1 million foreign-born workers got jobs over the last year, while 943,000 native-born Americans lost employment over the last year.

    The implication, and elsewhere I’ve seen it stated outright, is that jobs are being taken away from native-borns and given to foreign-borns, but the numbers don’t say that.

    Those figures are based on total counts from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t07.htm). The total number of employed native-born people age 16 and up:
    June 2023: 131,849,000
    June 2024: 130,906,000
    Net change: -943,000.

    Does that mean 943,000 people “lost” jobs? No.

    Consider the number of baby-boomers retiring right now. There are a lot more native-borns retiring than there are younger ones entering the workforce. So it’s inevitable that the total number employed is going down.

    With the amount of immigration right now, legal and illegal, of course the number of employed foreign-born workers is going up.

    I haven’t seen any evidence of jobs being taken away from native-borns and given to foreign-borns.

  6. Thanks for the clarifications @11:49 and 12:17

    And I appreciated Ty’s note at the end of @10:12: And with gratitude, put God in first place. He is always with us…

    A good reminder, although I also can’t help but think of some of the judgements God called down on even his own people who had strayed and wound up, by God’s hand, defeated (by even the wicked and God’s own enemies) and in exile.

    Blessing and judgement all come from his hand on individuals and nations. His presence isn’t always a comfort, even (especially?) to those who believe they are in the right yet who are doing wrong, lack humility and neglect God’s commands.

  7. Kizzie: Yes, at the voting booth change the government of the globalists who have sought to make us dependent on government in every sphere of society. We need a far smaller, citizen-led government that is of the people, by the people, for the people!

  8. Don’t start clutching pearls, he was not referring to violence Kizzie, and you should know that.

    Fight in the legal and peaceful means you can. Voting, poll watching, calling out irregularities and shenanigans where you see it.

    Violence should not be considered unless absolutely necessary, and it’s not, and no one is saying it is.

    Your question is insulting, you’re implying violence might be what he meant. You should know Ty better than that.

  9. I was waiting for a new pearl-clutching reference. 🙂 (Joking, AJ). From something she mentioned here a few days back, Kizzie is wearing her new July 4 red-white-and-blue beads this weekend. No pearls.

    But carry on, apologies, I’m just in a goofy mood today.

  10. AJ – You are assuming that I was implying that. It was an honest question. I did not assume that Ty would be advocating violence.

    “Fighting” could mean in the voting booth, or running for office, or any number of things.

  11. In fact, I thought that other people looking in might assume that, and I wanted Tychicus to have the chance to explain how he meant it. (I don’t know if you still have lurkers, but you once mentioned that you had at least a few.)
