  1. In the last six weeks or so, I’ve written a dozen blog posts, two newsletters, countless FB comments, and edited/prepared three manuscripts which I sent to my editor friend on Monday.

I’ve made countless travel arrangements, prayed for a bunch of people, been out to dinner numerous times, and attended at least five birthday parties–not to mention hosting guests.

We replaced the router and my computer.

(The new printer/scanner came a few months ago).

Everything I use to work with–printer, router, scanner, computer, scannable app, evernote app–has changed and nothing works the way it used to plus I’m having trouble access files. I can’t seem to find them on this new computer.

I have five writing/publishing deadlines on October 31. So, I ordered all the books for one of my biography subjects from interlibrary loan. Four books arrived two weeks ago, I’ve been trying to get all the information scanned so I can read it while I’m traveling (hence the above frustration with technology).

And then I got sick on Wednesday with a miserable summer cold.

The good, very good news is–because I worked SO hard to get things done early, I have almost nothing pressing to do.

Hence, I could lie around reading, napping, and trying to find strength to wrangle the garden (the pumpkin is hopeless–trying to take over the entire front yard, including the front porch).

Today is a Sabbath, and I can lie around all day today, too.

    I’m even half packed.

So, I pronouce, God is good and I’m thankful.

Blessed be the name of the Lord. 🙂
