  1. Saturday night, while Biden mumbled his way through his controversial progressive fundraiser with President Obama and late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel, robbers mugged a member of Biden’s Secret Service detail. They got away with the Agent’s official service bag.

While Biden was frozen on stage, the Secret Service was frozen at gunpoint.

Baffled police have asked the public to help identify the thieves, who remain at large, and to help locate the criminals’ silver Infinity getaway car.

CNN releases rules for upcoming Trump, Biden debate

    By Christina Grube

No pre-written notes or outside props will be allowed during the upcoming debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, according to the network. CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are scheduled to host the June 27 showdown in Atlanta, Ga., at 9 p.m. EST. The 90-minute broadcast will have two commercial breaks, during which candidates will be prohibited from interacting with staffers and advisors.

CNN said that candidates’ microphones would be muted unless it was their turn to speak. Participants will receive a pen and a blank pad of paper to take notes during the debate. However, prompts of any kind are not allowed. Both parties have agreed to the terms, according to the network.

CNN confirmed in May that the debate will take place without a live studio audience to ensure candidates maximize their debate time.

  3. It should be open to the public. But they know one candidate might get more applause than the other.

    Can’t have that

And what’s with the sitting at a table thing? Biden to unstable to stand for an hour and a half? That was his demand to sit.

  4. Click the tweet and have at it.

“Today, Joe Biden plans to announce his latest executive order: A mass amnesty for illegal aliens. It’s even worse than you think.Let’s take a look. 🧵 (1/8)”

“Biden’s parole-in-place plan doesn’t just shield more than a half a million illegals from deportation.

It provides them with work permits and a social security ID — and makes them eligible for federal taxpayer-funded benefits like welfare, food stamps, and Medicaid. (4/8)”

  5. Kamala has been to Georgia five times since the beginning of the year, twice in the last seven days. Getting ready for the debate? I feel sure she has a lot of buddies in Atlanta.

  6. AJ, I think I’d want a table, too 🙂 And an audience can be distracting when they misbehave — I think the intent of this arrangement was for focus without distractions, trying to keep the attention on the 2 candidates and what they say as much as possible. ?

  7. One of the ways that companies like Google works to rig elections (be sure to check out the bottom of the page – elections likely flipped…):

    https://americasdigitalshield.com/

America’s Digital Shield is a new, key monitoring system that uses research to determine the number of undecided votes that can be influenced prior to an election.

  8. Re: that video of Biden “meandering away” from a skydiving show. A friend wrote that she read that a wider view showed that he had turned to say something to a skydiver from the show who just landed, and to give him a thumbs up.

There are so many videos like that on social media (and some have been shared on here over the years) that cut off right at the moment that mitigates what the beginning seems to show, or does not include important context, or is said to be of one event but is of another, unrelated event.

That’s why I don’t trust videos, especially not brief ones, and especially not those that are shared to make fun of or mock a person, or twist their words or actions.

There was a good example that was shared a few years ago. From one angle, it looked like Prince William of England was “giving the finger” to some reporters. A front view showed that he was holding up his outer three fingers (pinky, ring-finger, middle finger). (Maybe it was to indicate how many children he now had.)

Whether it is videos that are faked or misleadingly described, or other articles, comments, etc., it is disturbing how eager some people are to humiliate their opponents. (And yes, I feel the same way about those things being done to Trump as well.)

  9. Georgia is something of a swing state now (or close enough to it) which means you’ll be seeing a whole lot of 4 particular people in the months to come. Enjoy.

  10. Robert Epstein of Americas Digital Shield said that in a given election if there is a win margin of 4% or less, then Google will decide that election. If the margin is more than 4%, then it’s very hard to steal.

He said that Google can shift 20-80% of undecided voters, without those voters even knowing that they had been manipulated.

And the Big Tech messaging is huge… they make you focus on minor or peripheral things while they are doing their nefarious acts.

    Sunlight is the best disinfectant!

  11. We should do what we can to stop fraud — but it’s not really Google who decides an elect; ultimately, it’s someone else with the first letter “G”? 🙂 It’s all in God’s providence.

We do whatever we can and then the rest unfolds.

  12. I got a Republican generated request for donation (I have not donated anything in recent years), and it said Trump has narrowed those under consideration for VP to these:

    • Doug Burgum

    • Ben Carson

    • Tom Cotton

    • Byron Donalds

    • Marco Rubio

    • Tim Scott

    • Elise Stefanik

    • JD Vance

Some of the people are ones I know nothing about. I need to find out more.

  13. Since I don’t have a say in who President Trump chooses for VP, I don’t think I’ll spend any time finding out more about the candidates. Once he decides I’ll be interested in learning more about his choice.

  14. Yeah, that’s a very long list! Did I hear he’s expected not to announce the person until the convention? That would be interesting (and I think that used to be what nominees did maybe?).

  15. Oh come on. The table is there so he won’t wander off during the debate!! 😁

That man absolutely turned away from what the heads of state were supposed to be paying attention to. Arms down to his side toddling away. The PM of Italy appeared perplexed and led him back. Kind of like Obama grasping his hand to lead him off the stage. There is no denying this person is not a mentally functioning person…

  16. Doing “all we can” implies it won’t ever be perfect (as, you know, we live in a fallen world so that all follows). So it’s hard to answer that question.

Elections in recent times also have become very close, complicating the process of acceptance.

Acceptance among believers must come, however, as we know God is sovereign and this fallen world is far from heaven. We don’t really know what God is doing in these specific instances of setting up and removing kings and presidents. But we know that is always in his hands, not ours. And he’s always doing something in those circumstances.

  19. My mom has spinal stenosis….she walks differently than Biden. She doesn’t slur her words, hang her arms to the side hunched over and she can go up stairs without falling….she is 94. He clearly exhibits symptoms more than spinal stenosis

  20. NJ, I’m sorry to hear about your mom – and it may very well be that Biden is dealing with something more physically and mentally. He does appear to be struggling.

But as believers, should we not be able to have sympathy for him?

We may disagree strongly with his politics, we may never consider voting for him under any circumstances, and we certainly are free to express all of that (I would hope respectfully, however). Jesus still calls us to love our neighbor and to respect and pray for those He has placed in authority over us.

The same applies to Trump. Support him or not, I believe we are called to pray for our (potential future) leaders as well.

  21. Some people think better sitting down rather than on tbeir feet. I know from a lifetime of personal experience. Maybe Biden joins folks in that category? Giving the benefit of the doubt with a bit of stretching😃 Presidents may not always have a chair nearby when they have to make quick decisions.

Dj no where do I indicate wishing ill will for this person. It is frustrating that it is clear elder abuse of him. It has been since his nomination for President. From all indications he has never been an upstanding individual but I desire no physical harm to him nor do I delight in his ill health, physical and mental. It seems to me assumptions of un Christlike character is attached to those who would oppose what is happening right now. That is unfair imo.

  23. Appreciate the fuller answer, NJ. I get it.

From a political standpoint, I’ve been saddened (and quite surprised, to be honest) that he hasn’t been (or wasn’t persuaded to) bow out of the race before now. It is hard to watch.
