  1. Good morning! It’s not raining! For the moment😀 But it is muggy out.

I had a nice phone call from Son. He asked about the blog family. I told him who represents which state (area) here and a snippet about what you each do. He was interested in the Mark Twain cave and looked it up and told me the story about the doctor who made use of it for a bit. I said I imagine Peter has told that tale a few times.

  2. Morning! Everything in this forest is covered in yellow pine pollen..even the moth’s wings are yellow!! Achoo!!

Off to have breakfast with a sweet friend. It is sun shiny and getting warm outside already!

I don’t recall the story about the doctor…do tell!

  3. No mowing possible here today. Water still standing in the yard. Off to play at a dementia home. This is a small audience and the least comfortable place to play. The group started to go here when one of their fans ended up living here. He has since passed away, but the group continues. It is so important to have a respite of music for these people and the group is glad to do it.

  4. house is warm already. Got up to 91 inside yesterday. I think my ac isn’t working. Not sure that I want to call anyone as I just found out it will cost me over 400 to repair my car where I hit one of the boulders lining my driveway

  5. I appreciate what y’all do, too, Kathaleena! I told son about that wonderful musical outreach that y’all are so faithful to keep going. I think it is good to share with the young(er) about such things to encourage them to find a nice way to serve others.

  6. Jo, sorry to hear about your ‘hot’ situation and the needed car repair.

We are waiting to talk to the pastor about the parking lot car accident last Sunday. It’s VBS week so not a good week to try and get with the pastor. Being in a larger church equates to learning to be a good waiter..

NJ, perhaps Peter will be around at some point and tell us abput the good doctor and how he used that cave.😀

  7. Weeding, husband just took over mowing the lawn, will return books to the library, and then sit at my desk.

I have long list of things to do, but one major task is off my list: I’ve written all my blog posts for the summer. 15. That’s been a major focus.

    Bliss–at least from that!

Hill is back from Italy for two months! Always fun to see one of our “second daughters.”

  8. Built a century ago, the Italian tall ship Amerigo Vespucci will visit our port for a week-long festival in early July.

Traditional canvas sails, 30 km of traditional hemp ropes; hull painted black and twi white stripes “harking back to the two gun decks of the ships that the design was based on; carries 2 saluting guns.

  9. Breakfast with friend lasted three hours and we still have too much catching up to finish. Next week we plan on an entire day!

As I approached the forest coming home it appeared to be enveloped in smoke! Nope….yellow pine pollen!!!

Jo have you checked the circuit box to see if the AC switch is on? Happened to us last year…the repairman chuckled and advised checking that before calling next time😊 Spiders had spun webs inside the outside box tripping the circuit breaker!

  10. Thanks, Janice. It is a blessing to be able to bring joy to others. I am more supporting my husband than doing that directly, of course. It is what I think the Lord would want me to do in this particular time. It is certainly not anything I would have dreamed of when I was young. You just never know what life will bring.

  11. Perhaps the ac is working today?? I also closed off the front room that gets full sun and that has helped.

    Up to 98 today.

The air fryer worked great so I had sweet potato fries and it did not heat my house, thanks
