President Joe Biden issued an executive orderyesterday imposing new limits on the number of migrants allowed to enter the US at the southern border once a daily threshold is exceeded. The order allows border officials to turn away those crossing illegally without processing their asylum claims, using a law previously attempted by former President Donald Trump in 2018.
Under the policy, which takes effect immediately, asylum requests will be halted once the seven-day average of illegal crossings reaches 2,500 per day—April averaged 4,296 per day. Restrictions will be lifted when crossings decrease to under 1,500 per day for seven consecutive days. Limited exceptions will apply to migrants with prior authorization, unaccompanied minors, trafficking victims, individuals facing medical emergencies, and those with extreme threats to their safety. Those who cross illegally would be subject to a five-year ban from entering the US.
Republicans have criticized Biden’s plan as a political maneuver ahead of the election, and legal challenges are expected.
The executive order comes after Biden has repeatedly claimed that he could not do anything to address the border crisis that he caused, which has approximately 10 million illegal aliens flooding into the U.S.
“It’s window dressing. Everybody knows it,” said Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). “If he was concerned about the border, he would have done this a long time ago.”
Here’s an interesting interview with Trump’s former chief economic advisor, Peter Navarro. It’s not an in person interview since Navarro is currently in prison for claiming executive privilege to Congress’ J6 committee. His case is currently on appeal, but the judge is making him serve the sentence knowing it will probably be overturned. It’s definitely political lawfare.

Cal is an acquaintance, and his wife was a school friend of my daughter. They went to a Christian school together in grade school and I have a high regard for Cal and his wife. Her parents translated the bible for decades. I am sure all the forces of the DFL will be brought against him, but I pray he wins.

“In 2020, ‘journalist’ Lesley Stahl shamed Trump & cut him off during an interview for citing the Hunter Biden laptop.
Today, FBI agent Erika Jensen said during Hunter’s trial that there is no evidence the laptop was tampered with, like many in the media claimed.
Of course, Stahl knew the contents in the laptop were authentic but she gaslit and shilled for Biden anyway.
During the interview, Stahl refused to let Trump talk about the laptop.
She said it couldn’t be “verified” and pretended like Trump was crazy for even mentioning it.
