Lovely yard. On a whim, I planted a pumpkin in our “new” front yard landscape.
It’s headed to the street now, blooming, and ready to go! LOL
Or, as I told my daughter, “I’m getting a head start on Halloween decorations.” 🙂
The family has been working in her extensive backyard. They had a family deck building party last weekend and my husband finished it up on Saturday. (While I pruned and weeded in the same extensive backyard).
It’s looking a lot better now. Here are some photos from two years ago when I, of course, wrote a blog post:
We have to replant in front of the house since we had to have a new water line put in. Most of the wildflower plot is now dirt. So, replant wildflowers, put in a flowering bush or leave it be and see what grows naturally?
Good afternoon! I do like that beautiful photo, AJ! Your friends are blessed.
Michelle, glad your daughter gets all the family to pitch in and make her home an enhanced living space,.She is very blesded, too.
Also, Michelle, I am suppose to attend a summer Bible study at that big church you spoke at. My friend attends there, and they have a much stronger women’s program than where I attend. Thankful to have a friend who will take me. I am blessed, indeed!
Going to get an xray before I have an appointment at the new doctors office next week.
Tomorrow I will be taking food and helping with a funeral for Eleanor, a three day old little girl. Please pray comfort for the family. I was sad just buying fruit to take.
What a beautiful garden!! Drive by photos are just the best! Thankful you are able to get back in the driver’s seat AJ as we continue to pray over you!!
Heading out to treat my neighbor/friend to a birthday lunch. After that we will stop in the “old peoples” thrift store! Monies raised go towards Senior programs.
Jo I hope and pray this doctor has insight and wisdom concerning the care of you! And I am praying for the family of this precious little one who has gone to rest in the care of our Lord so soon. Praying for Him to comfort them as only He can…
This is a fascinating example of how to use Scripture to interpret Scripture. I was just thanking God for the way I can see this now, when I prayed this morning.
It’s such a beautiful church, Janice. I hope the study is just as good. The women I met there were absolutely wonderful–as was true of seeing you and your friend and her friends! LOL.
I’ve been blessed beyond measure by all the people who have crossed my path thanks to God.
Trying to work out, now, how to meet up with all the Aussies! My granddaughters are going to wonder if we know everyone in Australia???? (And do we have to meet them ALL?) LOL
The new portrait of King Charles III of England has been controversial. This piece takes a positive stance on it, with the author insisting that seeing it in person makes a difference.
Beautiful garden in that header! I like the natural, wild look myself but all flowers are so pretty.
Took K over to look at a nearby apartment (vintage 1920s Spanish on a tree-lined street), cute & clean, but she’s having to work through an aunt who holds the purse strings to what K believes is a trust account for her. The rent would be paid through that.
Kizzie, thanks for the portrait link, I didn’t read much about the portrait when it came out, just saw all the ‘shock and awe’ and sort of agreed it seemed garish. But now it makes more sense.
Good beautiful foggy morning from here.

We had fog, too, earlier. Gray sky, but beautiful outside anyway.
That is one beautiful scene.

Sunny here, and warm.
Actually drove today, first time in weeks. Leg has improved, movement is easier but still not back to normal.

Beautiful bush. What kind is it?

Another fascinating post–this is about Egyptian history and the theft of artifacts.

Accidentally posted this on the prayer thread:

That is an excellent explanation of the portrait, Kizzie, and I looked at it with new eyes. Thank you.

Jo, how heartbreaking about the little girl, how her parents must be so crushed.

I sat next to a family I’ve not talked to before at church — he’s a piano tuner (!) from Bulgaria.
God’s people are amazingly diverse.

We are having rain while the sun shines. Right when I was trying to get in a walk. It always seems strange when that happens.
