  1. Update on Rudy:

Our sweet kitty is in renal failure. The vet gave Chickadee some pills for him that will stimulate his appetite (he only weighs six pounds, half of what he used to weigh). This is not a cure, but part of comfort care for him, to make the rest of his life a little more comfortable, and maybe lengthen it a bit.

Chickadee is coming to stay with us for a couple of weeks to give Rudy his daily pill and spend time with him. (I forgot to ask her if the vet gave an estimate of how long Rudy might have left.)

Please pray for Chickadee to turn to God in her sadness over this. Also, please pray that her time here will be comfortable – for all of us, and that there will be no hard feelings stirred up between her and her sister. (Dear Nightingale can be abrasive and impatient at times, and Chickadee is sensitive.)

(For that matter, so am I! My beloved firstborn can hurt my feelings with her sharp tongue at times. Please pray for her and her son’s salvation, too.)

  2. Praying, Kizzie, for this special time with Chickadee. There is a sweetness to this tragedy that shows God’s hand in it. Will you make special foods to welvome and comfort Chickadee?

Lord, You have this all under Your control. Please give an extra dose of wisdom so all involved will act with great kindness and respect. Please infise the whole home with lovingkindness. May all feel the power of Your Kingdom Authority at work and be awed and desire more of it. May they taste and see that You alone are good. May former preferences fall away and new righteous desires takd root. Please draw the unsaved yo You like moths fly up to a porch light on a dark summer night. You are so good to listen to the desires of our hearts. Again we ask for eternnal salvation for all Kizzie’s family.

    in Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Praying and so blessed to know she will be with you for a bit. May the Holy Spirit draw her unto Himself and bring her peace as only salvation in Him will bring.❣️❣️❣️

  4. Amen!

Yes, we will be doing what we can to make Chickadee feel comfortable while she is here. She and I will work a little bit on her room – which had slowly turned into a junk room over the years – to make it more comfortable for her to hang out in and have some privacy. And I told her to let Nightingale know about any special food items she may want. (Nightingale will be going grocery shopping on Friday. I will help her out with some of the added expense.)

(When Chickadee has spent the night lately, she has slept in my room, but of course, she will feel more comfortable in her old room.)

  5. Chickadee was on the verge of being overwhelmed while she was trying to pack for a couple of weeks, so she decided to take it slower, and come over tomorrow.
