  1. The people who drove daughter and the people who met her and showed her the apartment all said she was enthused about the idea. Now they will give her some time to process the idea. Prayer that if this is the right choice for her, her enthusiasm will increase, not decrease. And may some of her new cool workers be believers to guide her in the Truth.

  2. Thankfulness for our friend’s son, who had the stroke, is coming home today. He will need rehab, but is doing very, very well. His stepmom was quite miffed with the dire predictions given them by the doctor when this first happened. Then her son pointed out all those praying and told her to be grateful, because it may have been a plain miracle. That gave her food for thought.

  3. Also, grateful that my daughter and her friends were missed by the tornadoes. One friend sent a picture of it from her house. That is about 7 or 8 miles from our daughter’s place. Praying for those affected and for Janice and others who are in the path of bad storms today.

  4. Thank you, Kathaleena. I alerted my Bible study ladies that Art had headed out to the expressways in the storm and to please pray. He got there after an hour and fifteen minutes.

The weather had cleared from the first round, but round two is here. We were undef tornado watch until 1 p.m. I need to see if thatut has changed.

    Thanks for praying.

  5. After taking a bad fall in the middle of last night, I am praising and thanking God this morning.

Last evening getting out of his shower, Boy had gotten the bathmat exceedingly wet so that the bottom was also wet. Knowing that, I was very careful when stepping on it. (Our toilet is right next to the tub, so the bathmat is right in front of it.)

After going potty around 2:45am, as I was turning around to flush, the mat slipped out from under me, sending me crashing down onto a hard plastic thing with a couple drawers that is near the toilet, breaking it apart. (I landed on my upper thigh in back, towards the side.) Very painful! Going back to bed, I slept the rest of the night on my stomach, so as not to put weight on that injury.

This morning, still in pain (it will definitely be aching for a while, but nothing is broken), it occurred to me that that was probably the best area for me to fall in, if I had to fall. I could so easily have hit my head on the toilet or the side of the tub. And that is why I am feeling very grateful to God. 🙂

  6. So sorry to hear about your tumble, Kizzie. Glad you are able to tell about it. Praising God with you for it could have been so much worse.

I remember having to instruct son that before he exited the tub/ shower that he had to shake the water off his legs and feet. It takes a moment but saves a lot of messiness. Life Hacks!

  7. Oh, Kizzie, praying that whatever aches and pains there are will leave quickly. I have a tile floor in the bathroom but use a mat (outside the tub/shower) that has a rubber backing and carpet on top, it seems to be very secure.

  8. Janice – I have tried to make that point to him – about taking a moment before getting out of the shower – but he doesn’t see the point. Well, now he should!

DJ – This bathmat has a non-skid backing, but it’s not too good. Being wet made it dangerous.

  9. Sorry to hear about your tumble, Kizzie. Last month I had a similar fall and landed on my tailbone, on the concrete at work. The company nurse sent me home and told me to sit on an icepack 20 minutes on 20 off a few days. I hate ice packs but it really helped.
