  1. We will be at music gigs three times this week. One performer just let me know he will not be there as his grown son just had a stroke. Pray for Trav. I have no idea if he knows the Lord, so that would be good to pray about, as well as his health. I don’t know what condition he is in yet.

  2. Yes NJ, I am.

In fact I’m sitting in the waiting area waiting to go back to the short procedure unit.

Hopefully the procedure will be short. I’m thirsty and starving, they made me fast.

  3. Praying, AJ!

I have Bible study in a few minutes.

Yesterday I had a 9:20 appt. with the eye doc and thought it would be short. We did not get away until the afternoon. I had a veggie dye test with dye put in through my arm vein to check circulation in the eyes. The doc is very thorough to check all angles before making any decisions.

It’s rainy here. A tree guy will be by later to give me info on what to do about a dead pine and other tree issues.

Busy days lately! But always praying along the way.

  4. I’m in recovery now. If everything goes as expected, I can head out around 1:30 for home. Then I can get some food in me. 🙂

I did enjoy my ginger ale and Lorna Doons they gave me.

  5. Small graham snacks and water is what we got after cataract surgery.

Kathaleena, that is hard news for someone so young, praying for a full (or close to it) recovery.

Busy day with offshore wind turbines to write about

  6. I saw no snacks after cataract surgery here😒

    PT had snacks available.

    Pfood Therapy!

The tree guy was very knowledgable and confirmed I need to go ahead and take out a large old recently dead pine. No need to take out another I had questioned. Got confirmation of the root causing havoc with our retaining wall is none other than from the sixty-year-old ligustrum on neighbor’s property. It is a monstrosity that causes me allergies when it blooms, like right now. It is pretty other than that.

  7. Partly sunny on the coast in SoCal, but further north:

~ Spring delayed: A very cold May system is going to deliver widespread rain across NorCal this Cinco De Mayo weekend and snow in the Sierra, with early indications that over 1+ foot could fall in the highest elevations. ~

  8. The guy recommends a group to take out trees so I will get an estimate. May get estimates from several, but I feel sure he recommended a good team. He is an older aborist and teaches tree climbing. They have an owl box and enjoy groups gathering at their place to observe owls. The new ones have not yet poked their heads out.

I invited him and his wife to church. I told him about when our son did Forestry through the 4-H and brought our urban county in 2nd or 3rd at competition in the whole state. He had no idea about that program.

Oh, the best thing: He admired the Birthday Tree before I told him the backstory. He also seemed to think all the digging around it by the county has not damaged it.

  9. Lorna Doones? I haven’t had those in ages.

We used to get ginger ale when we were sick. It’s the only soda we had growing up at home. I still have a Canada Dry steel can from the 1960s I use it for loose change.

Tress are nice t have but boy are they expensive to take down. We know, we’ve had 3 cut down at this house, and another fell over on its own.

  10. I believe Janice will have her dead pine down. She will leave the neighbor’s ligustrum, though it interferes with water lines, will remain to aggravate allergies.
