I posted more about our plan late yesterday, Jo, in case you are interested to see if it is available in your area. It is a good plan. This may be a test market for the plan. Not sure. It’s good to find an independent agent in your area who has been in the business a long time. Some of the youngsters steer peope really off course.
We live in a strange world where the Kosher Kroger had a checkout lady in full Muslim dress, and yet Jews are told, at least on college campuses not to wear anything indicating you are a Jew.
The news today was about a local county taking two more books out of the school library for a total of six removed for sexually explicit content. Doing so labels parents and principal as Nazis for book banning equivalent to what was done in Germany years ago. Truly, a crazy mixed up world.
We do live in a strange era, it feels like we are on the brink of “something,” we just don’t know what (but God knows). It feels ominous, menacing. It could blow over … but seems like it instead will build and culminate; this is an age of outrage, so many are so angry.
Seems like a period of true testing for the faithful.
Former editor / now port spokesperson I know well is off next week to observe Passover with relatives in the east. One of their daughters lives in Israel but was visiting here on Oct. 7 when the attacks occurred.
My one thought is it is a dangerous world right now for Jews and campuses especially can be volatile amid the Palestinian movement taking hold among the younger generation.
I made an older lady (older than myself) very happy at Publix. I asked if shd could read the number of ounces in a pack of cream cheese for me. She did. I said thank you, and then she stumbled through saying how happy I made her as it never happens that she can help someone. It is always people helping her. That made my day, too. I almost did not ask her thinking because of her advanced age she might have vision problems.
I have been out shooting the bows with son, hitting golfballs, playing cornhole with my dad and children, gathering weeds to go with my salmon for lunch. A beautiful day in the neighborhood.
I have been to Downwind with my dog-walking friend. Again I enjoyed the narrimundi fish. I had sides of collard greens and mac and cheese. Very good junch. Then we stopped along thecwah for her to feed feral cats that hang out behind a gas station. So nice of her to do that along with another caring soul.
The weather was pleasant to sit on the deck up near the building in the shade to have lunch. In the sun it feels very warm. Her SUV said 86°. Since it rained last night, humidity is higher.
Good morning, all. I see older brother is so yesterday.

Morning!
Another cold and cloudy day. Three inches of snow predicted by this afternoon. I think I shall go back into hibernation! 😴

It is Friday.
Long and busy week, but I managed to get through two back-to-back night meeting shifts.

Agree about the independent agents, they are invaluable. Every situation is different.
