  3. Nope, no Deep State here…

“BREAKING, INSIDE THE FEDERAL RESERVE: Hidden Camera captures Principal Economist @federalreserve talking about Jerome Powell’s legacy as “somebody who held the line against like, Trump.” The influential agency responsible for maintaining a stable monetary system appears to not just be establishing interest rates, but to be setting policies for desired social outcomes.“

Under Powell, the Fed has changed to think about equity issues, like racial issues, think about wealth inequality as part of the mandate, as part of the things we are following. Think about climate change.” Aurel Hizmo, Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve, who prior to working at the Fed was an Assistant Professor @NYUStern and received his PhD in Economics from @DukeU, helps write speeches for Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome Powell for the Federal Open Market Committee.

Hizmo says “Trump is just a crazy person” and conservatives are “dumb” as he describes to OMG’s American Swiper Citizen Journalist a politicized Federal Reserve Board where Powell has promoted ESG issues like climate change and “wants to be remembered in history” “as a savior.” But shhh…don’t tell anyone because Hizmo says: “I’m just really worried that I’m saying stuff that’s classified…It’s all classified.””

  4. Per my link yesterday–I am concerned about unvetted people and those not actually citizens being treated as if they are. I am not concerned with heavy accents, although that can be an issue. I have a young friend who worked and paid to get her citizenship and is a fantastic nurse. She was worried (when she homeschooled) about her children learning to speak well because of her own accent. They are just fine, as were the thousands before them who had parents (both) who spoke a foreign language at home. I have, personally, seen the frustration of patients and staff trying to communicate with masks on.

I have seen and heard much about treatment in various nursing homes. We are in them often and now know many who live in them. Whether foreign born or born here, it is not a place for the unvetted. The difference is that we have records here as, at least, a starting place.

We all should be against people who are not citizens being called as if they have fulfilled the requirements. That is not compassion, it is the very lack of compassion for others, at the very least.

  9. Kathaleena,

Agreed. I don’t think we do enough vetting as it is. I was employed by a nursing home with no question, nearly fifty years ago. My oldest daughter, who loves being a nurse, had to go through the typical background, drug test checks nearly twenty years ago. My younger daughters, with serious psych issues and affection for drugs and alcohol and despise the patients and work, have no trouble getting jobs as CNA’s and one is taking classes to become a nurse. Scarey.

I am not sure our current vetting process is any good. I don’t think it is fixable in today’s mindset.

  10. CBS is compromised, and not to be trusted. Nothing more than propagandists aiding the Biden admin and uninterested in truth or good reporting.

  11. “JUST IN: Reporter Catherine Herridge testifies that CBS News locked her out of the building and seized all her files, says she was working with sources to “expose government corruption.”

Nothing at all going on here, folks.”CBS News’ decision to seize my reporting records crossed a red line that I believe should never be crossed by any media organization.”

“Multiple sources said they were concerned that by working with me to expose government corruption and misconduct they would be identified and exposed.”

“CBS News locked me out of the building and seized hundreds of pages of my reporting files, including confidential source information.”

  12. Recently, I have read that some Republicans are in favor of a nationwide ban on abortion rather than letting the states decide. But I remember that when Roe v. Wade was the law of the land, conservatives/Republicans insisted that the more constitutional way would be to let the individual states decide for themselves.

  13. Agreed Kizzie.

For decades the call from the right was that it was a states right issue, let it be decided there.

But I note that now that Trump has taken that stance, he’s somehow a sellout to the prolife cause. As expected, it’s Never Trumpers leading this.

Trump is being pragmatic. If you don’t inclue rape, incest, and health of the mother exemptions, you’ll get nowhere with most women.

Rs taking a hardliners stance will do them no favors in the upcoming national elections. Since I’m the cynical type, I think that is the NTers goal, which keeps Trump from the presidency. After what I’ve seen from them, I’d expect nothing less.

States deciding it has been the R stand for decades, now isn’t the time for changing that.
