  6. In case anyone missed what I shared kind of late yesterday, here it is. . .

“AJ – There is now reader context added to the X-post about the ban on religious Easter egg designs:

~ “The American Egg Board flyer’s standard non-discrimination language requesting artwork has been used for the last 45 years, across all Dem & Republican Admins, including Trumps for all WH Easter Egg Rolls. Biden did not create this policy, it is the policy of the AEB.” ~”

~ “To clarify that, the contest in the story is from a different organization, but following the long-standing rules of the AEB.” ~

Since then, I have also learned that March 31 has been National Trans Visibility Day for several years. Biden did not decide to specifically put it on Easter, it just happened that way due to Easter falling on the same day this year.

Do these posters even check their facts at all? These mistakes happen quite often, whereas doing a simple check doesn’t take that long.

  8. Yes Kizzie, I saw it. However that doesn’t address what the Biden admin themselves put out as the rules, which I also posted a few days back.

Now who do you think gets the final say at the White House?

That community note is just a weak attempt at damage control.

“Children also can’t promote material that promotes “bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age” in their designs. ‘

    ——

So why exactly are they banned anyway? They would violate none of the Eggheads rules, unless of course the mere sight of a Christian symbol is now offensive.

  13. It’s Trump, or more of this.

“Whether their calculation is correct is a question that will be answered in November, but consider who the Democratic party is now largely comprised of. This list includes: disaffected racial, ethnic, and sexual minorities and the guilt-ridden white democrats who infantilize them; naive young people; women who believe that killing their unborn child is the purest form of “freedom;” people who think Donald Trump is a dictator; socialists (who now outnumber capitalists in the democratic party); and a comparatively small percentage of reasonable people who the former groups now overshadow.

Critics of this theory will suggest that “Transgender Day of Visibility” and Easter aren’t mutually exclusive and won’t always fall on the same day, but such obtuse explanations purposefully ignore the fact that the Biden administration knew what they were doing, which leads me to my second point. There’s a punitive component to this decision. This was a nod to the far left and an attack on a demographic despised by the Democratic party. It was, above all else, an indication that America’s traditions are crumbling and being replaced by the tenets of leftism, and anyone unwilling to convert must be punished and humiliated.

Joe Biden claims to be a Catholic, but self-assessment has limited utility in deciding who is and who isn’t a Christian. At the risk of declaring myself an arbiter, I can say with certainty that anyone who believes a man can become a woman or believes that a mother has an unbridled “right” to kill her child up until the moment of birth is not a Christian in any sense of the word. If they are then Christianity is now a meaningless concept — an empty husk to be filled with whatever the left believes is fashionable until it bears no resemblance to its origins.

It’s never been more obvious that the left hates this country. They hate its people, which is why they’re replacing them. They hate its values and traditions, which is why they defile them. If America is still salvageable, Joe Biden’s decision to degrade Christians will leave egg on his face come November.”

  20. AJ – They were following along with rules that have been in place for over 40 years, not making up something new. It’s the same with public schools (although there may be some exceptions) which have banned religious symbolism from artwork for Christmas and Easter for years. This is nothing new, just the continuation of a long-term trend.

(To be clear, my pointing this out does not mean that I agree with it.)

And again, that Transgender Day of Visibility has been on March 31 for several years. I don’t know why Biden made his own proclamation about it, and I don’t like that he felt he had to do that.

(Although I do wish it did not get so much attention. Ironically, though, the most attention I have seen about it is from those who are against it. Even my Facebook friend who is the most rah-rah about all things LGBTQ+ didn’t post anything about it.)

  21. Just seeing the LGBTQ+ makes me wonder if all those who are in the plus symbol feel discriminated against since they did not qualify for a letter. Do people call themselves a plus (A+ could be a positive thing)? I feel so ignorant about all the labels. I see each person as an individual and hate to use boxes to contain them. But I guess it is natural to want to be a part of a group so people look for a label for identity.

  22. To nitpick a bit, not all of those “days” are related to transgender people. In fact, a minority of those days are related strictly to transgenderism, although there may be some overlap with other categories. But listing only the ones which are transgender-specific wouldn’t be as dramatic looking.

  23. Janice – Yeah, we humans all have a need to belong. (I believe that it is our strongest need, along with love.) It is sad and tragic that these folks find their identity and acceptance in the wrong places. 😦

  24. Agree, Kizzie. It is heartbreaking. As I rode with my friend on Good Friday to her church in another area of town, she saw a guy wearing a bra and looking like he was on drugs or something. I did not see well enough or quick enough to catch a good view but all I said was, “He is somebody’s child.” I felt badly for him, led astray, a lost sheep. She said it is an area of a lot of crime.

  25. Not long ago that man would have been shown by society that it is not normal to act that way and would have been encouraged to get help. Now he has no reason to think he is abnormal or needs help.

  26. Exactly, Kathaleena. I am hopeful that someone will reach that young man and save his life. But it made me so sad for those who love him, assuming he has family who do care about him. Too sad to consider if there is no one.
