  1. Stalin would be so proud of todays commies.

“Bernie Madoff – $10 million bond for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, defrauding 40,000 investors of billions in savings.

Sam Bankman-Fried – $250 million bond for defrauding thousands of crypto investors out of billions of dollars to finance donations to Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans so they’d look the other way. Tried to use the stolen funds to bribe Donald Trump not to run.

Donald Trump – $454 million bond for paying all of his loans. The bank he “defrauded” testified in his defense and said it would love to do business with Trump again. No victims. Helped build the New York City skyline.

This is the most Soviet-style injustice ever perpetrated in American history and it’s not even close.”

  3. I put a couple of comments and links especially for never trumpers on yesterday’s political thread.

And here’s one for the other side from Stream. This particular author, John Zmirak is sometimes overstated in my opinion, but this time he has some very salient points, I think.

One thing that was particularly interesting to me his reference of his debate with French (this one behind a NYT paywall). It was when Zmirak brought up the results off a particular policy supported by French that resulted in the ongoing persecution and death of thousands of Christians in Iraq:

“I once debated French online at The New York Times. In the course of that event, he deplored Donald Trump’s personal “character.” I countered that George W. Bush, whom French admired, had failed to stop a mass genocide of Christians in Iraq that took place on his watch. (I was friends with Iraqi Christians whose families were living in shipping containers — frozen out even from refugee camps controlled by the intolerant jihadis Bush empowered.)

French just seemed baffled by that. He said that I was speaking of a “policy” matter, which didn’t reflect on Bush’s character….”

That last statement, at best, reflects an ignorance that is as concerning as it is widespread. We should be wise enough to know that a person’s policy is character writ large.  It matters not whether the policies are in business, in politics or in our homes, they are all the visual demonstrations of our character.

  4. Biden will say OK, and #USELESSGOP will rubber stamp it.

“BREAKING: The President of Mexico has made demands and says that if they are not met, he will continue to send illegals into our country.

    1. We are to pay $20 billion a year to poor countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

    2. We are to lift sanctions on Venezuela, the same country that continues to send their newly released prisoners here and the same country that took Laken Riley’s life.

    3. We are to end the Cuban embargo.

    4. We are now to legalize law-abiding Mexicans living in the U.S.

We are being held hostage while they flood our streets with their criminals and rigs, and now they have a list of blackmail demands.

I thought the U.S. didn’t negotiate with criminals.”

  10. Again, the misinformation is coming from inside the house!

“Last night @60Minutes ran a 13-minute segment decrying how unseriously @X takes “misinformation researchers,” aka govt-aligned censors. @LesleyRStahl singled out @Jim_Jordan for “chilling” the work of these SpeechCops. Ironically Stahl’s segment was itself rife with misinformation, falsely claiming no one is dying from Covid vaccines, that Russia used social media to manipulate the 2016 election, that “no one” questions the legitimacy of the 2020 election, etc.

Once again, their anger is not about X becoming a safe haven for misinformation; they’re angry that it’s now harder for them to seed misinformation without being called out.

There were so many stupid parts of this I wanted to focus on, I ultimately decided to just post the whole segment. Note the patronizing tone of Stahl’s voice as she belittles the principle of free speech. It’s clear Stahl & the “misinformation experts” she features see the American people not as fellow countrymen with whom they share common values, but rather subjects that must be controlled.”
