:( Thank you cards that are prewritten and mention nothing about the gift given. Are teachers no longer teaching how to write a thank you card? Worse, is not even getting one, of course. I don’t need a long letter, but almost nothing is not good. I guess I feel the same about Christmas cards that add nothing personal. I excuse anyone with a physical or other reason for that, of course. Communication skills need to be taught. Parents are first in line for that, but we sure learned in school, too.

😀 a beautiful windy suunny day
😀 walking in a new to me neighnorhood near us
😀smell of wood smoke in the spring in Atlanta (reminds only of campfires and grilling)
😀 a friend plans to go with me to church tomorrow
😀son had a good conference sitting on a panel reading papers and discussing Education and Humanism (not secular humanism)
😀chocolate raisin almond bars turned out nicely (an experiment)
😀 picked up a bucket of pinecones in the yatd, a pretend Easter egg hunt
😒 I will be sore from using muscles not used since last year
