A few prayer requests:
That the truth would be revealed about who has been stealing from my mom. Money envelopes from her purse have gone missing twice in the last two months. The most recent time there was $118 in her envelope before it went missing. She wants cash to pay the hairdresser, but my brother, who has been cashing her checks and bringing her the money, has now wisely decided not to bring her any more cash, but to have her write checks instead.
Prayers for 3rd Arrow and unborn baby. Daughter is one week away from her due date and has been sick five different times this pregnancy. My mama heart can’t help but be concerned that (as of a couple weeks ago) she has only gained 15 pounds. I was sicker while carrying 3rd than I was with any other pregnancy — including contracting bronchitis and the flu — but still managed to gain a total of 25 pounds. (Lost 10 in the first trimester, then gained 35 pounds the last six months, which was amazing to me.) Her midwife says baby is doing fine, and I’m praying that 3rd is healthy and strong when God brings baby forth.
Prayers that no one in my household gets sick from me. I’m pretty sure I have the flu — cough every day since Saturday, sore throat some days, headache some days, fever yesterday and today. There’s a lot of flu going around in our area — one of my colleagues had EVERY student miss lessons one day last week due to illness and the next day had 50% of them out. My students have mostly been well, but one came last Thursday with a pretty hefty cough, and I’m almost positive I got sick from her. I’m hoping not to transmit whatever I have to my family for their sakes’ and for 3rd Arrow’s and her husband’s sake, who are all meeting at church tonight for Lenten services. Everyone else here seems fine, thankfully.
