Good morning! We are on the up bounce to the 70s again today. Playing Yo-Yo Weather game.
A friend gave me a nice sweatshirt yesterday which was in a giveaway plie. It is green with a large rainvow (muted in a darker wash) on it. She said as Christians we need to take back the rainbow. What think y’all? Should I wear it in public? I know it will be fine for my stay at home days.
I have to head out for something called a Fluoroscopy at 1130. It’s supposed to give us a better idea what’s going on with the leakage. That would be good, so let’s hope it’s something relatively easy to fix.
Prayers for comfort and wisdom from all involved, AJ.
Janice, I would absolutely wear the rainbow. I did look for a shirt I liked at the Ark or Creation Museum that I would like. They had some that did talk about the original purpose for the rainbow. Didn’t find what I wanted. I never assume people’s view of the rainbow, unless there is something else reflecting a viewpoint.
Good article, Dj. My Bible study group recently talked about that topic. It is so hard to get it right as a balance between the two. We are all learning, some faster than others. I think it would be a great topic for an eight to ten week Bible study.
Speaking of that, has anyone heard of a Bible study on the commands of Jesus?
I have been on the phone a good portion of the morning trying to get my two appointments at different doctor offices scheduled. Amazing what all the hoops are these days to get an appointment. We shall hope the third Fax between doctor offices is the charm!!! I await a call but am not holding my breath.
I have been making comparisons of the things one must listen to as one is on hold. One office has lots of updates on what’s new with the large practice, another has the same recoding about graditude for patience as callrrs wait playing over and over, and the third has R& B music that constantly breaks up (the most annoying and also the one giving most difficulty in scheduling).
Well I’m home. It all just seemed fruitless. They say there is a small leak that doesn’t really show up on CT or scopy, yet the output is equal to about 40 oz a day. That’s roughly 20 oz every 12 hours. They say there’s no evidence it’s pooling anywhere, so 🤷.
Its frustrating. We will see what the Dr says next week.
My grandson in Virginia is allergic to everything and often has symptoms of such. When they left their home to drive the seven hours to join husband and other family at the commissioning, he had been exhibiting symptoms for a few hours but getting him out of the area seemed to help. They all hung out for three days. Upon returning home, they learned grandson had had the flu. Now both parents have the flu. One has A the other has B so they are contagious to each other. Husband has been coughing. Oh well, we try. They all had a great visit though so worth it.
Mumsee, these are scholarships for Wycliffe MKs. from all around the world. So I do know some of them and even some of those who have written references.
I knew it was coming, but was sorry to see the goodbye posts on journalist T. Mattingly’s Get Religion (dot org). The title was taken from the idea that the media really didn’t “get” religion (a true statement) and it provided a good resource for writers and others looking for clarity and understanding of what is a difficult topic when writing for the secular media. It also featured some amusing posts on the pratfalls seen in some outlets. He still writes for publications and posts on his own blog; and one of the regular contributors — who covered religion for many years for the LA Times and beyond — will also still be blogging on another site.
Had to race to Office Depot for printer paper, completely ran out trying to print too many things for work.
The Dr. just called. They will now schedule me for another surgery to put the nephrostomy tubes back in. They hope this will allow the ureter to heal where it meets the elieostomy(sp?).
I’m upset and frustrated, obviously. This will hopefully be out patient, but that will be up to the surgeon who does it.
I’m struggling greatly with all of this. I was supposed to be back to living a normal life by now and I’m nowhere close. Plus I still have another surgery a few months out to reverse the colostomy. There’s just no end in sight.
I watched a similar but not situation with son in law. He thought he did everything right including ticking off everything on the list she gave him to stay married (lose weight, cut back on alcohol, exercise, get a job- lost about twenty pounds, quit drinking entirely, changed his body shape with exercise, had quit his job to support her in her horse training business but got more jobs) and still lost his wife and children. Frustrating. But he also gained a relationship with Christ. God is working.
The weather was right for a long walk. I was on the sidewalk when a woman I know from my Methodist church days was going to her mailbox. She is a retired high school principlal. So nice to see her. As we ended our conversation she told me she loved me. I told her I love her, too. So nice to run into people like that. They knew son when he was little. I don’t have anyone I know well around me on my street. I walked about a mile to have thr pleasure of seeing her.

We’re back down in temps. It’s a bit nippy.

Talk to ya’ll later.

We have below normal temperatures and a prediction, so far, of a foot of snow coming. It will probably get colder for you, Janice. :(

Morning! Praying for a very good report Aj!
We have temps in the 50’s this week and the snowpack is reducing in size. More snow by the weekend they tell us.
Janice wear the sweatshirt….our Lord’s promise to us…❣️

Good morning and another beautiful day here. Lots of clouds as we expect our temps to begin dropping to snow from short sleeve weather.

Praying for clear results, direction and resolution, AJ.
It’s cloudy here this morning. But it’s ‘hump’ day, the work week is (almost) half over.
It’s been a long first-half of the week for me.
