Another journalist arrested for reporting the news on Jan6. And the media will ignore it.
An American journalist from the Blaze was arrested for reporting about January 6th. Not one person crying about Navalny has said a word on this. The enemy isn’t Russia, it’s the neocons and Never Trump’ers.
A quote from yesterday: “When your hatred for one man is greater than your love for our country, you might be part of the problem.”
This could be applied to people on either side, but I am assuming that it the “one man” is referring to Trump.
Not everyone who is against Trump hates him. I hope that those who are against Biden don’t actually hate him, either. I also hope that it is a slim minority of people who actually hate either one of them. Hate is a strong word.
Around here there a lot of NTers. And they will tell you they hate him. There are no facts that will change their minds, no rationalizing with them. They will acknowledge that Biden is ruining the country, but their hate refuses to accept that there is a much better option than Biden.
Now some NTers may not hate him, but there is no rationalizing with them either. They also know Biden is trashing America, yet they refuse to vote for the only viable alternative to stop it.
That’s reality. You can be part of the solution, or part of the problem. NTers of both parties have clearly made their choice.
I have been listening to closing arguments in the Fani Willis case while playing Bookworm. More fun than watching Law and Order. So many lawyers for all those defendents!
Victor Davis Hanson had a good talk on that, why people voted for him and why they turned away. Kind of compares him to Ajax in the Trojan War. His strength and mind go far in winning the battles but loses the people when they think they no longer need him , due to lack of eloquence in speech. Interesting. I will look for the title.
I guess I associate the hate with what they do instead of who they are as in hate the sin but not the sinner. But maybe that is a Christian thing. The men get grace but their sins get condemnation. But my liberal friend tends to show a spirit of hatred toward Trump. I never show a similar attitude toward Biden, but it is harder when knowing if he’d not opened the border that my friend’s granddaughter’s sorority sister, Laken Riley, would still be alive.
Her service was today in all this rain. It seems like the weather is covering our state with tears. It was at Woodstock City Church, a sister church to Decatur City Church which my former church, 5 minutes from us, houses on the church property. All too close to home and heart. My mom was in assisted living in Woodstock.

When we oppose (or support) a politician it should be on principal, not passion and with an openness to hear and consider other opinions.
For believers, it is important — always — not to put our trust in chariots and horses (and the men or women who control them). They will disappoint.
