My laugh this morning came from a friend on FB who posted a blackboard with this written on it, “The furniture store told me the sofa would fit 5 people with no problem. Then I realized I don’t know 5 people with no problems.”
This is similar to when I heard the national news person say that a woman was killed by a shark on vacation. I didn’t realize sharks take vacations. I am terribly sorry for this poor woman’s family and friends. Nevertheless, it was a bad way to introduce the story. It was corrected when it was introduced later.
It’s flurrying here now. Not supposed to amount to anything, which is good.
I have to head to the city of Bethlehem later today. Unfortunately it’s not for a census, or to see the Messiah in a manger, but a doctor in a hospital.
They’re going to mark me for surgery. Do an ultrasound, decide the best way in, and then mark the area for the surgeon. I was surprised they’d do it 10 days out, but they tell me it will still be visible.
So maybe I’m getting a tattoo today!
This is the last thing I have to do before some at home surgery prep. I’m already quarantining so I don’t catch nothing. Even have a mask for when I’m at the hospital. Such a fun life I lead.
That does seem early for marking, AJ, but from the way I was marked up for radiation to last for the month, I know it works.
I am prayong for you to remain healthy and well. Masking is good for this special time. Art and I wore our masks at the hospital medical building this week and I wear it to PT in a hospital medical building. We need all the help we can get to stay well, and you do, too!
Have you been given any pre-op instructions for nutrition to build you up? For one of Art’s surgeries, he was told to drink some of those green veggie smoothies. He was only advised that once. He did not care much for the drink but tried.
Kathaleena’s stories remind me of this one: “I saw a man chasing a cat with a broom in his pajamas.” I don’t know if that’s widely known or if I just know it because an LA Times columnist used to quote it decades ago.
Dj, second surgery is one week later. The doctor told me she was doing that because I am so nearsighted.

Such a glorious header with that touch of color. Beautiful, Kare!
Funny ones, Kathaleena. Our language gives many occasions for laughs especially when our people don’t take time to think before using it.

Language is a funny thing. How does a cat get a broom in its pajamas? ANd why would a cat wear pajamas?
