Prayer Requests 11-30-23

It’s Thursday, so please remember to pray for Jo and the people of PNG.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 126

A song of ascents.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.

Restore our fortunes, Lord,
    like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
    carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
    carrying sheaves with them.

  1. Prayers for blessings, health, and God’s favor, everyone.

    A multi-pronged request:

2nd Arrow’s company is flying her out to DJ’s neck of the woods today 🙂 for continuing ed.

~Prayers for safe travels for her (H) and her best friend (S), also a vet tech. H “sounds” — via text — so excited this morning!

~Prayers for son-in-law as he holds down the fort with the 4- and 2-year-olds for 4 days.

~Prayers for the little girls while mommy is away.

Should be an adventure all around! 😉

    Thanks.

  3. Prayer for my dad who has taken a significant downturn in my absence trying to prevent him from catching COVID or whatever it is. I can’t smell Vick’s or cinnamon oil if that means anything. Anyway, he has now been totally exposed to whatever. But he has gone from daily corn hole until yesterday to barely able to move today. His backside is hurting. I don’t see a bedsore but with my eyes running like a river, hard to tell.

  4. 6 again, asking for more prayers of protection, this time for my colleagues and me.

An unhinged woman, probably in her sixties, barged into my studio room tonight during a virtual lesson with my distance student, and screamed, “Where is [the voice teacher]?” She was supposed to have her first lesson with him, but he was working with another student then. A double-booking error. She’d also gone to the wrong studio first, so was already fuming before she arrived at the second studio. When I pointed out where the voice teacher was (kitty corner from my room), she instead blasted across the waiting room and out the door, turning around and just about getting pinched in the doorway as she hurled expletives for all to hear.

I’ve never seen an adult that age get so belligerent. Please pray that her irrational anger dissipates before she targets someone for inconveniencing her.

    Thank you.

  5. Praying, Mumsee. If he is already getting it that may be why he is seeming so out of it.

Lord, Yoj are keeping watch over them all. Thank ugh ou that he has been to church even if it meant catching a bug. Please make the illness leave quickly. You are our healer and giver of strength. Please ank quickly to bring effective remedies to the Nest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank You, too, for helping Boy get well and others in the home to stay well.

  6. Turned out it was not his backside. He was having stomach issues but got the two confused. Once the stomach cleared, both directions, he was sitting just fine in his chair. I just got back from helping him back to bed again at three in the morning. He was sitting up in his chair, very weak. He had another incident in his bathroom but this time, blood was involved. We may be looking at hospice again.
