Psalm 124

A song of ascents. Of David.

¹If the Lord had not been on our side—
    let Israel say—
²if the Lord had not been on our side
    when people attacked us,
³they would have swallowed us alive
    when their anger flared against us;
⁴the flood would have engulfed us,
    the torrent would have swept over us,
⁵the raging waters
    would have swept us away.

⁶Praise be to the Lord,
    who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
⁷We have escaped like a bird
    from the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
    and we have escaped.
⁸Our help is in the name of the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

Please pray for safety in our community, and for all those traveling and participating in events related to the death of Rosalyn Carter.

My blood pressure is higher lately so I need to get it lowered without meds if possible. Please pray that I can figure out new strategies. Thank you.

Heavenly Father,

Tthank You for hearing our prayers 24/7 and always working out good answers even when sometimes we don’t understand. You are above all and know all. Please help each of us to refine the desires of our hearts to always align with Your will. Please help me to exhibit more of You and less of me at times when I am challengrd to give grace as You have extended grace to me.

Lord, I lift up those we know who are awaithg surgeries that You woild keep them well so there are no delays brought on by illness.

Please be with Cheryl and AJ in some special ways as they prepare for his surgery. May they feel Your supernatural presence all around and inside them so strong that they feel extra protected and loved at this time. Please ease their minds of any worries and give them clear thinking to dwell together in Your word and its refreshment. May they be totally aware of being yoked with Jesus knowing He is carrying the heaviest burdens and lessening their loads.

Thank You, Abba, for Your generosity in giving good gifts to Your children who adore You.

janice, my blood pressure is also giving me challenges, in part because I gained back thirty of the forty pounds I had lost. In part because it seems every time I go into a Covid like illness, my be shoots up. I am looking forward to going Home and seeing all of this made new.
