  1. Are those decoys or the real deal?

We’re getting unseasonable warm temps today upper 60s – low 70s. Going to look for new flooring material for the kitchen/dining room.

  3. Good morning, all, a beautiful foggy damp morning here. Currently about thirty four but expecting fifty.

Today three year old joins four at being four. They will stay four together until mid January. And today we all learn if the divorce is final and a plan for custody from the judge.

  4. Rain will be coming our way, too, later this week.

Feels like there’s something in my eye (the most recent cataract surgery eye. Hmmm. Used eye drops and trying to blink it away.

And today I am, really this time, back to work. -dj

  5. We’re back to warmer than normal for a few days, but no mosquitos.

I hope that sensation goes away, Dj.

    Praying about the court case.

That was an interesting story, Michelle.

  6. So many fires here lately. Now a historic plantation home in the Stone Mountain Park area has been destroyed by an overnight fire. This was a home full of antiques for tours. An arson investigation is underway.

  7. Yes Peter, they’re the real thing. The blood red eyes are creepy. If you look close you’ll see the female between the 2 males. Her colors are more muted, so she blends in.

  8. OK, let’s try this again.

I got my surgery date. Dec 15th. Christmas on bed rest is unappealing, but being cancer free outweighs that.

For obvious reason, after the 14th there will be a few days of no new posts with me spending 5 to 7 days in the hospital. Cheryl will try to pop in and give you all an update when surgery is over. When new posts show, you’ll know I’m home from the hospital resting. 🙂

    Love you folks,

    Aj

  9. Thanks for the update, AJ. Prayers in advance that all goes smoothly and for a little discomfort and pain as possible. As you said, the outcome surely is worth all of that. -dj

  10. Yes, AJ, getting the cancer out is a big relief. And it is good to have a date set. We have done hospitals during the holiday season and everyone seems to make extra effort to be sure it is a better than expected experience. You know you will be lifted to the Lord by many before, during, and after surgery.
Much love to you, too, AJ, in Christ who has brought us all together as His family.

  11. Pretty cool graphic/map of LA’s former rancho territories. I’m “Rancho” San Pedro toward the bottom. M was also Rancho San Pedro back in the day.

Interestingly, there is still actually a “Rancho San Pedro” — it’s the name of the oldest public housing project in LA and is set to be redeveloped in the years ahead as the housing was originally constructed for WWII housing for shipbuilders.
