Anyone in want of a pink pullover sweatshirt? I found one on Amazon on sale @ Hanes Men’s Hooded Sweatshirts for $12. I suppose they are overstocked with not so many men wanting a pink sweatshirt. One man’s junk is a lady’s treasure.
Because we have the tv on all day, we spend a lot of time watching scenery but lots of those have hymns, and because my dad is deaf, I can have them on low most of the day.
Today we try again to see our lawyer about our will.
Jo, I hope you have some Benydrl or something like it for allergies. That kind of reaction can move on to a closed throat! Glad it subsided for you.
I have tons of cds yet. Plus, DVDs and cassette tapes. If or when I am forced to move that may change. I just got a new cd recorded during a jam session. New tech doesn’t mean the old disappears fast.
Haley’s high heels … our sermon last week touched on the story of Jael and the tent peg and mallet in Judges 4. Male mockers beware.
Yes, that was quite the debate.
All my sweatshirts — wearing one now — are black or gray. Never liked pink and not a good color for me anyway.
My eye feels better this morning, yesterday it was very gritty-feeling (which is to be expected but this one was more uncomfortable than the first eye was after the surgery). Used a lot of artificial tears drops yesterday but today the irritation seems to be gone. I have my followup appointment in about 2 hours, another neighbor will be taking me, just dropping me off and I’ll call him when I’m ready to be picked up.
So far it appears my vision (as I wait for getting new glasses which could be a while as the eyes have to settle in) will be generally sufficient in the interim. But I’ll see what the doctor can suggest for me today to get me though this interim period. The distance vision really is pretty amazing.
Morning all. Snow covered ground and icy roads this morn. And oh so lovely!⛄️
Husband wants to drive into the Springs to purchase new running shoes. Then he wants to drive up to Wyoming to see if we should move there. And he signed up for a 100 mile ultra taking place next September….this man!!!. 😳
Oh, Wyoming. I think I’ve been “through” there on some long-ago treks to Iowa? But not sure. That may have been the state that came with so many bugs-on-our-windshield?
I heard a rumor about a high school friend’s mother who had taken off her high heels and slammed her husband on the head with them. Thought of that last night and imagined for a moment that a similar type thought about VR might have crossed Haley’s mind😀👠👠
Just finished listening to this fascinating podcast about the spiritual components of the current situation in Gaza. I learned things I hadn’t realized before about the why of their animosity.
Had the followup eye appt — almost jumped in a couple wrong cars when I was waiting for neighbor to pick me up — silver Hondas with gray-haired male driers.
“Oh hi!” I waved from the curb, as they stared at me and hesitantly waved as they drove by.
Whoops, 2 wrong guys.
Anyway, right guy finally came along and he stopped, so I made it home, went in to chat with his wife for a long time after we got back.
We’ll see how this interim vision goes (he said maybe in a month I could order new “real” glasses). But the doctor (not the surgeon) I met with today said even the basic lense should fix both distance and near vision (I thought just distance) but small print is still hard and he said I *could* try drug store readers but my astigmatism might still keep those from working too well.
Distance now is pretty good, not perfect, and he said it’s conceivable I could request (and get) DMV to remove the “glasses” restriction on my license (though I may still feel better using my glasses while driving, he said, and I’m quite sure that will be the case). But my prescription will be way weaker than what I’ve been having to wear for some years now.
All good and all worth it.
And very happy the surgeries are both behind me. Met a guy walking in (while I was waiting for my ride) who just had his first eye done and was getting checked out for the second-eye surgery next. I told him he’ll be very glad, and he said he already was.
I took a long nap this afternoon since I got the flu shot this morning. My arm did not like it when I turned on that side.i hope the soreness leaves overnight so no interference with tomorrow’s PT.
Wyoming. I had wanted to see Wyoming since I first read “My Friend Flicka” as a child. When I did get to go as an adult, I was very choked up as we drove into the state. Such a beautiful place – so much better than my imagination.
Jo, your allergic reaction was similar to how my food allergies started. I was advised (and do) carry an epipen with me at all times. Be careful – a mild reaction one time can be anaphylactic the next time.
Good morning! I love those pink cosmos. I may look for those seeds to plant in our yard. I usually see only the yellow ones in Atlanta.
Art enjoyed watching the debate last night unlike the previous ‘debates.’ I now know high heels can be used for ammunition!😀

Pink was all the rage for young men not long ago.

Wyoming is beautiful! And the wind and snow! I have always enjoyed that State, if I was not an Idahoan…

Weird, my comment disappeared–was it the link?
This was a fascinating podcast, a little over an hour long, about the Biblical and historic issues concerning the Middle East animosity.
