  1. This is what the leftist academia has wrought on America.

The rape and murders of women and children are now justified on high school and college campuses, and the kids lap it up.

  4. Next time you see a letter supposedly from the “experts”….

Check out the names to make sure it’s legit. 🙂

“Open letter signed by over 1700 sociologists:

“As educators, it is our duty to stand by the principles of critical inquiry and learning, to hold the university as a space for conversation that foregrounds historical truths, and that contextualizes this past week’s violence in the context of 75 years of settler colonial occupation and European empire. We are also deeply troubled by the lack of concern and care for Palestinian and Muslim students at many of our universities, as well as efforts to clamp down on student organizing and free speech.”

  5. So I see this morning that the mental midget known as the mentally deficient Senator from PA is tweeting F bombs from his official account.

    But muh norms…., right?

Trump is the crass one destroying norms I’m told by leftists and NTers…… Yet none of the usual suspects are out there condemning the idiot for his foul mouth. Weird, right?

Obviously I won’t share it here, but it’s out there.

  7. I couldn’t vote until I turned 21. I was still pretty ignorant. I wouldn’t go so far as supporting 24, however. There are people of all ages who are quite ignorant and die ignorant. Let’s pray these young people get wisdom. A fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Pray they get it.

Yes, there is plenty of crassness from both parties. In fact, our whole society has become quite crass. Trump never did have a monopoly on that.

  12. It was a tremendous evening last night in Congress. Besides whatever else was going on, instead of going out to the microphones to meet the press in the halls of Congress as is common, Mike Johnson invited them in to see what was going on. Members of Congress stood together as Johnson led them in prayer. A special moment.

Johnson’s nomination goes forward with a vote today – hopefully, he is successful.

  13. dj: Thank you for your reply. (I love it when you refer to me as ‘Ty’.)

You didn’t really say why you think the MAGA movement itself is extreme, and I suppose you’ll be unable to do so.

As I’ve said before, a big part of character is keeping your promises, which is what Trump did as president. He’s not tied to special interests, and he truly seeks to serve the people. He didn’t even take a salary as president – in fact, his personal wealth actually decreased by about $1.2 billion by the time his term was completed. (What other president could have claimed that their income actually decreased?) I do think that he still needs work in the humility/civility areas, but he is about the only person on the ‘right’ who can stand up and withstand the 24⁄7 pummeling from the radical globalists, and fight back (and the radicals are limiting their destruction until they get complete control – 2024 will decide it). To claim that he only cares about himself is simply not true.

How can you claim that Pres. Trump is not capable of governing when he’s already proven that he is, even as almost no president before? Who are these key MAGA leaders who are reckless and on power trips?

You may want to “move on” from MAGA (similar to how you wanted to “move on” after the stolen election – look where that got us), but all signs are that the movement is growing and growing (esp. b/c people see through the multipronged Trump witch hunt and are absolutely furious), even among blacks and Hispanics. The ascendency of Mike Johnson to Speaker is yet another sign of the ascendency of the MAGA movement.

Concerning Congressman Gaetz, he has remained principled and transparent ever since the vote for McCarthy back in January. It wasn’t Gaetz who was disruptive and back-stabbing in this whole process, it was McCarthy (as last night in Congress clearly revealed – wait until you hear that story!).

You said that you like the two-party system. The leader of one of those parties (or the ones behind the curtain pulling the strings) has now taken us to the edge of the cliff – with soaring inflation, higher taxes, dependency on foreign oil and other energy sources, pushing the deviancy agenda, destroying our military, opening the floodgates at our southern border, weaponizing the government, widespread corruption, etc., etc. – and is seeking to take us headlong into WW3. They don’t love the USA.

The leader of the other party brokered two Middle East Peace Accords, something that 71 years of political intervention and endless wars failed to produce. He is the first president that has not engaged us in a foreign war since Pres. Eisenhower. He has had the greatest impact on the economy, bringing jobs and lowering unemployment in the black and Latino populations of any other president – ever. He has exposed the deep, widespread, and long-standing corruption in the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, and in the Republican and Democratic parties. He turned NATO around and had them start paying their dues. He neutralized the North Koreans, stopped them from developing a further nuclear capability, sending missiles toward Japan, and threatening the West Coast of the USA. He turned our relationship with the Chinese around, bringing hundreds of business back to the USA. He appointed three Supreme Court Justices and close to 300 Federal Judges. He lowered our taxes, increased the standard deduction on IRS returns from $12,500 for Married Filing Jointly to $24,400, and helped cause stocks to move to record levels over 100 times, positively impacting the retirements of tens of millions of citizens. He rebuilt our military which the Obama admin had crippled, inc. firing 214 key generals and admirals in his first year of office. He uncovered widespread pedophilia in the government and in Hollywood, and exposed sex trafficking of minors and helped bring children home to their families. (There’s a lot more that can be said here, but this post will already be long enough.)

As another election looms, those are the two choices before us – it seems pretty clear to me, but pray and choose wisely.

  14. ty, thanks for the reply to the reply. We may have to agree to disagree on many things there, but I trust we can do so amicably.

I think even Trump was surprised by his 2016 election win and was aware (despite a rather oversized ego) that he was in unchartered waters. As a result, he managed to select a number of good people for that administration who served him wisely and I’m quite sure guided (and controlled) much of his impulsiveness and emotionalism.

I suspect he’d be not inclined to repeat those kinds of appointments as loyalty to him personally rides so high in his book and my sense is he’d be more prone to picking his own ‘yes’ men and women this time around, politically wise or not. He’s a man with grievances and he’s made it clear that those will be dealt with should he be put back in power. I don’t think the country really wants to go there.

I am convinced that there was any evidence, amid no small amount of checking and rechecking, indicating that the 2020 election was ever “stolen.”

So, there I stand. Hoping for a good conservative nominee for ’24.

And I wish the new speaker well, will pray for him. It’s good that the nation’s business can at least now move forward.

  15. Our country is seriously divided right now, however, so I still pray that God would provide us with an especially gifted leader who can help lead us back from the precipice so we can begin to talk rationally about how we move forward.

There will have to be some give and take on that (within and without the coalitions and parties) on all sides as well as in the nation as a whole.

The GOP has a unique opportunity to reach folks right now, based on how frustrated most people seem to be with the direction the country is headed. Social upheavals, crime and the lack of a moral plumb line plague us. People are growing weary.

Politically, it’s an uneasy national alliance we find ourselves part of right now. But even more urgent for us to pray and work for a way to keep the experiment of the USA going (and going in the right direction), praying for God’s grace and wisdom (including for all of us during and when this period hopefully passes and the country comes to its senses, amen?).

Our nation is far from perfect (and it never will be that), but we’ve been uniquely blessed with freedom and, somehow, an ability to hold it all together. Thanks be to God.

  16. Like all speakers, he’ll have to grow into the office 🙂 hope he’s a quick study, that deadline is looming. The role is more than “just about MAGA,” of course, he’ll need to harness a wide variety of folks with different ideas and diverse positions going forward. He’ll have to know how to work with others, many he may not agree with, well and effectively. -dl

    Checking and rechecking?

The media was disinterested in legitimately doing either.

But the process takes time, and subpoenas. The media could have done the work, but didn’t. Why? Because it all goes back to Democrats.

The Dems have fought long and hard to stop this info from getting out. Why? Because it exposes their corruption and operation.

“This was officially the first chip away at a block of a much larger network that appears engaged in illicit activity, and within its orbit highlights a massive nationwide effort to not only influence elections, but also to bury any attempts in court to expose it in an aptly named process known as lawfare.”

“As made evident by these investigations, voter registrations can be illegally obtained and/or submitted, which opens all kinds of avenues to manipulating state voter rolls which also happened to be associated with Nsé Ufot through her activities on the board at Democrat voter database juggernaut Catalist (here: https://twitter.com/GusQuixote/status/1674471210959118340)

In a public enterprise like elections, voter registrations and mail-in ballots are the “currency,” which makes signatures the metaphorical “gold backing” of the currency.”

  19. Lawfare, all to hide their fraud and corruption.

“A safeguard any mafia hideout, attack dogs are a staple among the underworld crime circles. In this case, not the canine type, but the breed of attorneys from law firms like Perkins Coie, specifically Marc Elias.

Along with now-Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (more: https://twitter.com/GusQuixote/status/1689549437805248514), Elias helped to construct a Marxist-inspired election system, helped train judges through numerous nonprofits, foundations, and conferences, while his firm Perkins Coie represented groups like Microsoft and Black Lives Matter, and at the same time benefitted from a purported “FBI workstation” inside the firm’s office.”

“Atlanta has been a honeyhole for Perkins Coie and Marc Elias, though Elias parted ways with the firm in 2021, but the firm kept his namesake Elias Law Group in what has been a strangely murky split since.

Since 2021, Nsé Ufot has left New Georgia Project, Elias has left Perkins Coie, and three people connected to wrong filings or outright criminal charges for financial crime fall within just this immediate orbit of funding that does include Perkins Coie and Marc Elias to a very considerable degree.”

“By Marc Elias’ and Stacey Abrams’ alliance through the nonprofit Fair Fight Action, they stand to gain from the combined independent thinktanks of not one, two, or three serious legal powerhouses, but FOUR: Perkins Coie, Elias Law Group, Lawrence & Bundy, and Marc Elias with Democracy Docket, himself.

This played into a legal strategy designed to overwhelm the opponent in time constraints, necessary manpower, and legal fees, known colloquially as “lawfare.”

Pierre Omidyar and Democracy Fund financed the Brookings Institute to the tune of $810K in 2020 and $850K in 2021. The Institute received $200,000 specifically for its Lawfare Institute program each year.”

In addition to these contributions to Brookings, Democracy Fund also filtered $310,000 through Tides Foundation in 2020, and $235,000 in 2021, labeled for “POPVOX LegisDash” in publicly available Form 990s. (There will be a folder of all of these 990 filings at the end of this thread)

Democracy Fund contributed $210,000 to Arabella Advisors-managed Hopewell Fund in 2020 along with $1.5M earmarked for Marc Elias’ Democracy Docket, followed by another $1M to Hopewell Fund in 2021.

Clearly, Democracy Fund had a clear objective to provide legal cover for any challenges to its soon-to-be-apparent activities.”

There’s plenty more. The media did none of this work, never bothered.

    Checking and rechecking?

No. Not at all. Because the side they wanted to win did, thanks to fraud and criminal activity.

There’s way more evidence too. Click the last tweet and keep reading.
