A couple of days ago, daughter was telling me how good life is.
Yesterday she was telling me how mean I am for not letting her drive or get her diploma or a GED. She was telling me how she hates me and it is legal for her to hate me and she never wants to talk with me again until the day she dies. She was explaining that she does not have mood swings. She ended the tirade with an I love you, mom, goodnight, see you Sunday!
😀Friends who come over and bring their extra tall extension ladder and then help get the new stove pipe through the shop roof and install the snow stopper things.
😀Wife of said friend who is also a dear friend who talked fun as well as serious spiritual matters with me the whole time.
😀2 crock pots to make supper with, so it was ready any time the guys were done.
😀husband who made a couple of loaves of French bread to go with the supper.
😀concerts for refreshing after a time of storm (Janice)
😀That we can pray for each other here – thinking of Kizzie, Jo & Mumsee right now.
😀Snow hasn’t arrived yet and it looks like we just might get all the outside projects done before it does.
Kare – We have two crockpots, too. One is larger than the other, so Nightingale uses them according to how much she’s cooking or how large a roast might be. Recently, wanting to get some food cooked for the coming week, she had both of them going with different dinners. 🙂
Also, the ones we have are pretty easy to wash. Usually, they just need to be soaked for a few minutes, and then wash out fairly easily. (I think that Nightingale also sprays them with cooking spray before putting the ingredients in, which helps.)
Since I am the official kitchen cleaner-upper around here, I appreciate that. 🙂

Kizzie, I made a larger batch of corn chowder and a smaller pumpkin soup – in the different sized crockpots. Very handy.

It’s Sunday and I’m taking a Sabbath rest.
I’m tired and looking forward to an empty house with nothing I have to do.
Praise God.
Husband returns from Nashville around midnight.
This was supposed to be the end of the crazy now 14 months. (Do I keep saying that?)
We were going to stay home and coast out the rest of the year.
Then Stargazer called and invited us up for Thanksgiving.
There’s a girl . . .

Sister was glad that we are doing so well with climate change.
Sister felt we need to work on zero population growth.
My mouth remained silent
