Good morning! It is warming up for a moment here until another cold front hits.
I cooked a super-sized slab of salmon bouught at Sam’s in a roaster oven yesterday. I used a slow roast method found in America’s Test Kitchens cookbook. A whole lemon was sliced and put on top in addition to one’s choice of seasoning. It was cooked in foil at 250° for an hour, but I added a bit more time at the end at 350° since I did not have a meat thermometer to check doneness. It was really tasty. Miss Bosley went crazy for it and had seconds from my plate and from Art’s and begged for more.
Good morning, all. A gorgeous sun rise is just around the corner here as a great horned owl is out making itself heard. It seems warm enough out. I could not find the comet this morning but did see it last night.
Oh, salmon for Miss Bosley! Now that must have been a very happy cat.
More fog this morning.
Our phones announced an earthquake test at 3 a.m. Really? Luckily it wasn’t accompanied by any screeching sounds. But I feel for those who have trouble sleeping and maybe were awakened and not able to get back to sleep. Unless there was an earthquake somewhere nearby … Who knows.
Boy was transferred last night to the new (for him) facility. This one has a lot of structure, with a daily routine. That routine includes two hours of school each day. He is allowed to wear his own clothes. Unlike at the children’s hospital, which had unlimited visiting hours, this place has only two hours a day, from 6 to 8pm, for visiting.
I am hoping and praying that he doesn’t have to be there for long.
It’s late for news, but it’s been a busy day. There must have been a cancellation because I was able to get in for my mammsgram today. The scheduled ultrasound was unnecessary since the mammogram showed clear. I do not have to have another for a year, PTL, it was a blessing from God to get the appointment. Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, the heaviest month for appointments, few are available.
I had the thought that if I had any cancer cells, they would have left residence in my body after 5 weeks with my brother.
Art took my brother to his doc appointment today. I was glad I could take myself to the Winship Cancer Center building where I have PT. Art also took all the belongings my brother had left behind here. So glad to get everything moved out that is his!

Praying, Kizzie, hoping the stay will be profitable, not too uncomfortable but accomplishing what it needs to accomplish. And relatively short.

Praying for him Kizzie.
You and his mom too. This has to be hard on you 2 as well. Hopefully it helps him and gets him back home quickly.

Oh, Janice, your comment about the cancer cells leaving residence gave me a good belly laugh. Looks like you’re getting relief all around. 🙂
