  1. Yes, simply beautiful!

It’s starting out in the 40s again here with some 30s not too far away.
I had to stop Art as he jumped in the car as usual and backed out. I told him he needed to give the car a few minutes to warm up.

So thankful to get back to my online Bible study routine. I missed that for five weeks.

  2. We are starting out in the 40’s as well. No need to warm the car up, however. We will have lots of days to do that, shortly.

Love the picture. It is restful and lifts the heart.

Oh, five weeks must have seemed, oh, so long!

  3. Good morning, all. Indeed a beautiful sight. About forty here as well and snow in the forecast in about a week!

Enjoying having son in law around, watching him growing in the Lord by leaps and bounds.

  4. Daughter and family went tent camping at Tahoe yesterday. It is 32 degrees there right now. It will warm up but that’s pretty cold for a tent. The young ones were excited

  5. I learned this week that a sitting wall plank can lower blood pressure. Has amyone tried that isometric exercise for high blood pressure?

Years back I was told to do those to help with knee issues. My kneecap wanted to slide out of place. My doc told me that the wall plank exercise would strengthen thigh muscles that hold the kneecap in place. Somehow the issue resolved, and I thought no more about sitting wall planks. Now I have another good reason to do them.

  6. I read that first as “tree camping.”

We’ve all been drafted in to read/help judge the “scary story” contest, a think one of our outlets sponsors for some schools every year. But there are like a gazillion stories! I had no idea, and am wondering about finding time to do all that now.

Today’s fall vaccine day, I have an appointment at the pharmacy at noon so that becomes my lunch hour break.

  7. It’s definitely fall here🍁🍁🍁 I have piles of leaves to prove it! The colorful leaves of fall have not yet made their appearance.

Yes, dj, that is the same exercise. If what I read is correct, it is the exercise that lowers blood pressure more than any other. I asked my friend, a former nurse, about it, and her guess is that it also strengthens the chest muscles and makes the blood flow more easily thus lowering the pressure in the veins and arteries. She did not research but that’s her educated guess.

  8. Fall is supposed to return next week…with possible moisture. Summer just doesn’t get it…time is up. You didn’t show up when your were supposed to so git!!!

Went in to have my hair cut (Chas would say what’s all the fuss?!!)
Cut it much shorter and choppier….she did a great job.

Dropped in at Sam’s on my way home and purchased, amongst other things, Spanakopita…that’s what I had for dinner! Delicious…

  9. Long day with a couple very lengthy phone interviews to get caught up on what’s going on — and during which I learned of some stories I should be looking into.

Checked in with one source I hadn’t spoken with in a while who said — as an aside during the conversation about some of the oddities, the unique sights and sounds, of living here at the harbor — that a peacock recently has been hanging out with their cat in the backyard.

He (the peacock) is always alone, the source said, while the others usually hang out in groups for 3 or 4. He added that he rather felt sorry for him. So he and his daughter have thrown some bread crumbs out from time to time. But he seems to just enjoy their yard space and the cat (and the cat is fine with the peacock).

Earlier, I got my trio of fall vaccines, so that was all accomplished as a ‘one and done’.
