  1. Good morning, Wanderers. I had an early morning walk on the driveway and lifted AJ in prayer. It is a beautiful morning so far. All the leaves got swept away yesterday so I enjoyed it for a moment! Forecast: More leaves today shall rain!

  2. Rain here. The other day I cleaned the outside of our windows. When I showered in the evening, I found 5 pine needles imbedded in my hair. It was windy. I have very thin hair now, so maybe that would make it look thicker. 😉 We also look like it is snowing leaves and needles.

Aj, my brother had bladder cancer and after treatment failed, he had his bladder removed. That was a few years ago. He told me after that was done, that it was not nearly as bad as he thought it would be. He is a very active, busy and creative man. My prayers for you will continue. Prayers, too, for the peace that is beyond our understanding for you and yours.

  3. Greetings. The Real, I saw your post from yesterday and prayed for you. I echo K’s words, I have seen people who have lived for many years without a bladder. It is definitely an major adjustment initially, but after that initial adjustment it becomes just another daily routine.

  4. Good to see you roscuro, and thank you & Kathaleena for those encouragements for AJ (and us by extension). Life is a process of adjustments.

It is (finally) Friday, the weeks usually fly by for me but this one crawled, I didn’t think Wednesday would ever come.

I pulled the trigger & contacted the gardeners to go ahead with what will be a massive tree trimming job in my backyard. There is a bit of a language barrier so my texts to them often just get a simple “ok” in response, but they do figure it all out. He said earlier that weekends would be the timing for them, generally, so not sure if they’ll show up this weekend or not.

  5. Thank you ladies.

    Hi Roscuro! Thank you too.

I read some stuff about the surgery to remove a bladder. Probably should have skipped that until the results were back. 😳

Still trying to get my brain around it.

  6. This morning went nicely. I drove Bro to Art’s nearby podiatrist. Bro is nervous about my driving at this point, but it was only one and a half miles and in my general go to area. Such a great doc visit that encouraged Bro. He treated me to coffee and a chocolate cake like glazed doughnut like my father use to get for me. Bro did not know my dad did that, I guess because of Bro’s diabetes it was hush-hush that I got a treat on the side occasionally. I had no recollection that it had been a secret thing😀 Bto got his own special treats like diet Fresca and other diet colas, etc., when I got none. I do not remember getting any sweet sodas and the no sugar drinks were for him.

  7. Cloudy cold day here. First freeze predicted for tonight so I collected the last of the flowers to put in the garage. Planted the potted mums and emptied the buckets and watering cans.
Waiting again for the bannister guy..he was supposed to return to finish what he didn’t yesterday…this is the never ending project!!

  8. Banister Watch

I just had a sneak attack by a mosquito, under side of my wrist and hand all bit up while I was typing/working. Hadn’t applied the repellant yet, that’ll teach me. -dj

  9. And curiously I was bitten up while writing an advance caption for a Blessing of the Animals service that we’re shooting over the weekend. All creatures …

    Mosquitos no. -dj

  10. 2:30 he just texted and wants to come over Monday…he has a headache….praying for this young man (49)…..he seemed a bit down yesterday… I do believe he is in our lives for a reason as frustrating as this has been. The Lord knows….

  11. NJ, good way to look at the delay that also has a fellow God’s-image bearer/neighbor involved.

Got money from the bank (didn’t have to rob it, but the thought did cross my mind … ).

Especially after I ducked in to Sprouts next door and wound up with a $107 bill — for some produce, tuna, and only a few other items, really just a pittance of food, mine and the dog’s. Sheesh.

These prices are really taking a toll.
