  1. Reverse racism is still racism.

“After 2020, 94% of the New 300K Jobs at Top 100 Companies Went to People of Color”

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/09/after-2020-94-of-the-new-300k-jobs-went-to-people-of-color/

“What’s the point of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission:

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and related conditions, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.

Most employers with at least 15 employees are covered by EEOC laws (20 employees in age discrimination cases). Most labor unions and employment agencies are also covered.

The laws apply to all types of work situations, including hiring, firing, promotions, harassment, training, wages, and benefits.

It doesn’t say to favor one race over the other. It doesn’t tell you to favor one religion over another.

You have to treat everyone the same way.

After George Floyd’s death, top companies cowered and vowed to make race, oh I mean diversity, the most important factor when hiring someone.”

The big guys kept their word. That only means one thing: racial discrimination.

Yup. Love how Bloomberg frames it as if the hiring people at the companies were in fact racist the whole time (emphasis mine):

While the biggest shifts in 2021 happened in lower-paying job categories, such as sales workers and admins, the trend also occurred in well-paid and powerful managerial and professional roles. Even at the executive level, more than half the added jobs went to workers of color.

Black workers, who were the initial focus of the diversity push, made some particularly notable gains. Their share of managers and professionals increased at 70 companies in our data set, and they boosted their ranks among executives in nearly as many firms.

For years, companies have blamed the lack of a sufficient recruiting pipeline for why their workplaces don’t reflect the country’s racial and ethnic makeup. White men tend to disproportionately hold the highest-paying roles, and hiring managers have long said that qualified candidates from other backgrounds for elite jobs were few and far between. The latest findings show that when under pressure to hire and promote qualified diverse talent, organizations find a way to do it.

No, they didn’t just “see the light.” They knew if they didn’t do anything, then someone would cancel them.

Do you know the people are qualified or hired so that they could check off a box?

WHY would anyone want to be hired for any other factor besides qualifications? I’d be insulted if someone hired me just because I’m a female.”

“Documents Show Biden Admin Saw Border Surge Coming — But Did Nothing To Stop It”

    https://lidblog.com/documents-show-biden-admin-saw-border-surge-coming-but-did-nothing-to-stop-it/

“The question has been asked — and asked again — if a hypothetical president had been corrupted by foreign enemies and wanted to actively destroy the country, what would he do differently from Joe Biden’s actual policies?

While the question was intended as a rhetorical one, the further we get into Joe’s presidency, the more difficult it is to answer. So many of the projects he touches turn to crap it is almost as if his advisors are HOPING for failure. *cough* Cloward-Piven *cough*

You could go down the list: Afghanistan. Military readiness/recruitment/funding. The economy. Debt. The weaponization of the state against political enemies from Donald J. Trump all the way down to parents lawfully petitioning school boards, Catholics attending mass, and pro-life protesters facing raids at daybreak.

But as blatant as any of those might be, the most egregious example is the absolute lawlessness of how Biden and his administration have been handling the border, pumping in more than a quarter million illegal aliens a month — and counting with little or no regard as to what impact those people might have on the places that receive them.

Any steps taken to put any brakes at all on immigration — whether barriers, legislation, or any other measure — are fought tooth and nail by Biden’s DOJ.

We can debate the ‘why’ all day, but one thing is clear: They WANT this outcome. Jennifer Former Hillary advisor Jennifer Palmieri once said the electoral future of the Democrats actually depended on this policy.”

  3. Yay for Democrat rule!

“Mayhem in America the New Normal Under Dems—Parolee Murders Young Tech Exec, Mobs Ransack Philly”

    https://redstate.com/bobhoge/2023/09/27/mayhem-in-america-new-normal-under-dems-as-young-tech-exec-murdered-by-parolee-mobs-ransack-philly-n2164353

“It started with the George Floyd riots in the summer of 2020 when mobs took to the streets of America to loot, destroy, and kill with the tacit approval of the Democrat elite. Since-disgraced CNN anchor Chris Cuomo argued that sometimes such behavior was justified, while Vice President Kamala Harris endorsed bail funds to support rioters.

You could argue that it goes back to the LA riots of ’92 or the Detroit riots in the late ’60s, but at least in those days, it was generally acknowledged that such behavior shouldn’t be tolerated. Now you could argue that it’s encouraged.

Two more horrible stories emerged Tuesday night to underscore the decline of the United States. In one, a young tech executive with a bright future was brutally murdered in Baltimore by a violent convict on parole. In the second, massive mobs took to the streets of Philadelphia to destroy the already embattled stores of companies like Target.

    What have we come to?

As my colleague Brandon Morse reported, people—mostly men—have taken on a new fascination with the Roman Empire. Why? Because many feel like we’re living through the very end of a once-great civilization, and for the same reasons. We’ve forgotten what made us exceptional, we’ve thrown standards out the window, and we’ve fallen into a cesspool of immorality and depravity.

At the end of August, I reported on the spate of mob violence in malls across the country, but especially in California:

This Is What Happens When There Are No Consequences—Mall Brawls Break out Across America

Tuesday night, it happened again, this time in Philadelphia. As my colleague Matt Funicello reported, mass looting broke out in the City of Brotherly Love and the police seemed powerless to stop it.”

A couple of things to keep in mind tonight as the “also rans” put on a circus.

    First….

“Trump’s Surge Past Biden Blunts His GOP Rivals’ Primary Argument Against Him”

    https://themessenger.com/opinion/trumps-surge-past-biden-blunts-his-gop-rivals-primary-argument-against-him

“The predominant argument against Donald Trump throughout this odd primary season has been one of electability. Nobody motivates the other side quite like Trump as evidenced by the 2020 election, so the argument goes, and thus someone else — perhaps Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), former governor and UN ambassador Nikki Haley (R-S.C.), Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), former Vice President Mike Pence, or entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy — is the only Republican who can beat President Joe Biden in the general election.

Yet polls in recent weeks have shown a decided shift to the former president. According to RealClearPolitics.com, Biden enjoyed a stretch of 11 straight major polls over the summer showing him tied or leading by as many as six points. But the month of September has been a disaster for the current president on multiple fronts, prompting even some of his allies on the left to urge him not to seek reelection.

    Those fronts include:

The inflation report showing a second straight increase for the month, putting the Consumer Price Index number almost three times as high compared to when Biden took office.

Gas prices hitting their highest levels for 2023 in the month of September.

A slow and apathetic response to the Maui wildfire which included photos of Biden lounging on the beach and not visiting the island until 13 days after the blaze killed nearly 100 people. He promptly returned to vacation afterward.

The rollout of the “Bidenomics” messaging offensive, with the president and his team telling voters the economy is great. This flies in the face of the reality on the ground, with only 28% of voters saying the economy is better than it was two years ago.

Add in the United Auto Workers strike, a border crisis that has become so horrid that even NBC’s TODAY show made it the lead story this past week, and the president’s son being indicted on a gun charge, and it’s safe to say Team Biden isn’t enjoying their September.

Just how badly is the president struggling? Sitting at 37% approval in the most recent ABC News-Washington Post poll is one thing, but trailing in a hypothetical matchup against Trump by 10 points is quite another. At least when Biden has polled lower than usual in the past, Trump didn’t necessarily benefit. But things appear to have changed lately.

On cue, many in the media demanded that we all ignore the Post-ABC News poll, including pollster Larry Sabato who called it a “ridiculous outlier” and “an embarrassment” to the Post and ABC.

Make no mistake, though, the trend is real. Another poll released by The Messenger/HarrisX this week shows Trump again with a relatively sizable lead over Biden, 46% to 41%. Overall, the last nine major polls showTrump tied or leading.

The reasons around why may be several. Perhaps enough Americans see the 91 felony counts against a leading presidential candidate and former president as politically motivated or as election interference. Perhaps Biden’s age has made the electorate pessimistic that his best days are in front of him.

Many voters may not like Trump personally but, on the question of who they trust to better handle a top issue like the economy, more Americans say they trust Trump more than Biden, 47% to 36%. Narrowing that to independent voters, the margin in Trump’s favorjumps by 20 points, 46% to 26%. ”

    Elections have consequences.

“BREAKING: Crude oil prices surge toward $94 and are now trading at their highest levels since August 2022.

Oil prices are up 38% in just 3 months and the national average gas price is about to cross $4.00.

Furthermore, oil prices are now 35% ABOVE where the US wanted to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR).

Inventories in US reserves remain at their lowest levels since 1983.

If the US attempts to refill reserves now, we will see oil prices skyrocket.

What does the US do now as gas prices soar?”

No mean tweets, but it will cost you your car, and freedom.

Biden and Democrats built this with their pro-criminal policies and refusal to enforce the laws passed.

    “Non-petty theft: 112 billion dollars?”

    https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2023/09/27/non-petty-theft-112-billion-dollars-n580758

“By this point, everyone has been able to see the results of the epidemic of looting and wholesale retail theft that’s been taking place across the United States. Stores have been emptied out faster than retailers can refill the shelves. Some have been looted so often that they are simply shutting down for good. But exactly how much has been successfully stolen? The National Retail Federation has just completed its annual Retail Security Survey for 2022 and the results are every bit as bad as you probably suspected, if not worse. They tally up what they politely refer to as “inventory shrink” across the country. And the total “shrinkage” added up to a whopping $112.1 billion. But not all of that amount was chalked up to random robbers, which they categorize as “external theft” Some merchandise was stolen by employees while other goods were simply damaged or lost. But that’s still a massive amount of theft taking place. (Business Insider)

Retailers reported losing a record $112.1 billion to inventory shrink in 2022, according to the National Retail Federation’s annual Retail Security Survey, published Tuesday.

External theft was the largest contributing factor to shrink, followed by theft by employees. Combined, the two categories of theft account for roughly two-thirds of total shrink.

In addition, more than two-thirds of respondents said they were seeing higher levels of violence and aggression from retail criminals than in prior years.

Those total losses easily set a new record. The previous record, set in 2021, was $94 billion, $18 billion less than last year. And looking at the daily news cycle this year, we’re probably on track to break that record yet again.

The thieves obviously aren’t slowing down, particularly in the states and cities with lax “justice reform” laws. Just this week looters tore up Philadelphia and hauled off everything that wasn’t nailed down. Los Angeles has begun an attempt to slow down the looting trend using a new retail theft task force, but they’re really only scratching the surface so far. Target is shutting down nine stores on the West Coast citing retail theft as the driving factor.

Target is one of many canaries in the coal mine that we should be paying attention to, along with Walgreens, CVS, and others. This situation is simply unsustainable. None of these businesses have any sort of legal obligation to remain in operation if they can’t produce a profit. If they are robbed too often and for too much, their profits evaporate. Insurance companies then either refuse to offer them coverage or raise their premiums to unaffordable levels. In the end, they have no choice but to close down.

And what happens then? People will have to travel further and further just to find groceries and other products they require. And they’ll be doing it at a time when gas prices are starting to spike again. Trying to have all of your needs met using delivery services is perhaps an option, but those costs will rise further as delivery people need to travel further. And even then you have to hope you’re able to beat the porch pirates.

None of this is happening by accident and the situation could be turned around if the will exists to do so. Ever since the Summer of Love in 2020, municipal governments sent out a message that potential rioters heard loud and clear. You can do whatever you want if you can identify as a “victim” of some sort and there will be no consequences for your actions. But if these permissive laws are all repealed and the police are restored to the point where they can start locking up looters for years on end, people will understand that the free lunch is over. If the impacted cities and states can’t muster the courage to do that, then let them close down and turn into ghost towns. That’s the alternate solution to the looting problem because at that point there won’t be anything left to loot.”
