Morning! Great photo. I saw something similar this morning however it was two owls swooping low out by the road. Hoping they found a squirrel or a mouse this time. We had dove feathers out back yesterday😞
It is so amazing fowl do not hit trees often. They sure seem to hit the windows and even the sides of my house often enough. Yet, others fly through forests and seem fine.
Our area is back to more rain than average. Of course, we forget ‘average’ is average, not what we have day to day! There has been some been flooding, including a road close to us. I only know that from the news on tv, however.
My problem with WP is that it’s what we use for work and I found the two separate log-ins I had frequently got twisted and I also was forced, that way, to log in to the work site every time — now I just click and I’m automatically in (on the proper work credentials, not my personal ones).
The geese above are probably above water, not among the trees.
It is amazing to see how God has designed the different hawks. Some seek their prey in the forest and have a shorter wingspan and ability to maneuver in the forest. Others have longer wingspans and soar across the prairie freely.
Charlie Brown #1 is bursting with bright green new growths on so many of the limbs right now. And how tall that tree is now. And full, it’s really a fine-looking tree 🙂 Not little anymore.
Charlie Brown #2 in the backyard, meanwhile, also is doing well, very tall and also exhibiting bright-green new growths, but it needs to keep filling out more (the arborist who came by a while ago said it will happen, and it looks to be doing well).
Had a safe trip to SF yesterday. Prayed for that city as I left.
The roads were in such good shape, looked like the lines were newly painted and it was easy to focus on the lines.

Good to hear you had a nice trip, Jo. SF is such a beautiful city, hoping and praying they can get their feet back under them. Freshly painted streets at least, though!
I choose to remain anonymous. Too complicated for my feeble brain. Speaking of which, my husband and I do agree that mine seems to be declining at a more rapid pace.
I’m the same way about the geese. They are lovely to behold when they’re flying away. I just hate seeing them holding a meeting in our neighborhood park and sidewalks where they leave such a mess (which is a great attraction for my dog.)
Things are hopping here, all day and all night. Twice up at night to check sugar and get resettled. Up at dawn to shop and return things to three stores that were not the right thing after having been to five stores to get the three.
I have been out mowing, a pleasant diversion. Miss Bosley is in my lap while I try to cool down, lol, before the final mowing swath.
Good thing I know how to cook healthy! I have that part of caregiving down to an art.
I hear snoring in the afternoon. A really good sound!
Thanks for prayers. I feel like a 24/7 med tech for three needy peeps. Miss Bosley is charge nurse😀 Bro who would noy enter our house for two years when we first got an indoor cat has been seen getting food for her and talking to her.😀
I will brag on Prime. We needed a flashlight early one morning maybe around 7:30. I ordrred and got one at the door within three hours. I needed an electric shaver and found it delivered by 7:30 the next morning. (Those on blood thinners need to use an electric shaver.) That is a sampling of how Prime has gotten back on track.
Janice, you and Miss Bosley sound more than busy. Glad Miss Bosley is providing some unexpected companionship and therapy for your brother. In exchange for food, of course. Now if you could train her to mow and go (shopping) you’d be set, able to put your feet up and eat bonbons (or whatever the healthy alternative is for that!).
Prime is pretty amazing as a business model. I also now get some things “overnight,” ordered late one day and on the doorstep by 4 a.m. Crazy. But we do have nearby Amazon warehouses.
The earliest we get a package from Prime will be the next day, usually mid-day, not early morning. But that is fast! A lot of times, the delivery comes in two days, but that is fast, too!
Remember ordering from a catalog? Delivery was usually in six-to-eight weeks.
WordPress has apparently done this new comment box thing in order to identify and cut down on spam.
It appears to be working. I normally delete 100 or so spam comments a day, but I’ve had exactly 6 since Friday. 🙂
And yes, the only way around it is to log in. If you forgot your log in info, just do a new one if you want your gravatar and name back.

An overcast, damp morning today with some drips coming down the outside drain pipe from the roof. El Niño is here.

So, am I logged in?

I guess I am. I didn’t have to do anything special.
I may be out of step with everyone else, but I like pictures of geese the way Michelle likes pictures of deer.

So happy to report that after a YEAR of work, Lettie’s book is finally up on Audible as an audiobook.
This was really painful.
I have free ACX promo codes if anyone other than Janice would like one. Just send me an email.
Deer loather–though they are lovely to behold running away. 🙂

Hah, Prime still takes almost a week to get out to us (and that’s just to the local post office which is a Amazon drop spot)
