  1. Good morning, from the third room in the hospital in one week!

This room is best as it has a lovely bathroom with a closing door. The first room had only a curtain around the toilet which I found strange until I realized it would give ease to access patients who might have a heart attack while awaiting surgery.

The second room, cardiac ICU, had no bathroom except a catheter for the patient.

I do like this hospital except for the distance to get here. My dog-walking friend brought me here to spend the night. Such a blessing to have a true friend in times of need.

  2. Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. I have been up watching the comet and Venus and the neighbor farmer working his fields in the night. My dad has been up from sometime. I saw him up sleeping in his chair at three thirty. He is drifting off again as time for breakfast approaches.

  3. The mosquito slayer is up, ready for Tuesday, sort of. Waiting for some coffee.

Where is Miss Bosley? Any idea how soon your brother can be discharged, Janice? Will he be staying with you for a while?

  4. “What about Miss Bosley?” Miss Bosley asks … (riffing off that hilarious movie, “What About Bob?”)

Abby gives me that brown-eyed look all the time: But “What about Abby?” … when dinner’s late, when the walk is late, when she needs some attention.

  5. So speaking of movies …

Has anyone seen “Only Murders in the Building?” on Hulu? Three seasons (i’m in the third now after my cousin put me on to it). It has me laughing out loud, Steve Martin & Martin Short are hilarious together. Meryl Streep, Sting have been among the short-appearance guest stars in a couple episodes.

It’s taken a couple Emmys — the themes and language can be for mature audience, but it’s a delightful break for those of us just needing a little humor these days.

~ Only Murders in the Building feels like a slight nod to A. Christie’s Poirot and Miss Marple series ~

  6. What about Bob?…our favorite movie!! Pure genius…

Drove to Castle Rock and visited with my neighbor as she fluffed and replenished her booths at the shoppe. And of course I shopped a bit while there.

Bannister guys came while I was gone…this job is taking forever…..

Thanks for posting that link Janice. I forwarded it to husband as Edwards is someone he has been reading of … and of course I have heard all about everything he has been reading!!

  7. “What About Bob?” We laughed so hard at that one. “baby steps”

The fall colours around here are just gorgeous right now. Apparently the northern lights were amazing the other night, but we had cloud cover.

We watched the first two seasons of “Only Murders..” Very funny, but we’ve debated watching further seasons and haven’t yet.

The garden is almost fully harvested. Still waiting for the first frost before we dig the carrots and beets. The potatoes are still in the ground (Tim is digging them tomorrow) and there is one huge watermelon that we are leaving on the vine until the last possible moment before frost is forecast.

This is the second year in a row that we didn’t get frost at the end of August or first week of September. It’s just been so lovely. If the globe is warming, I’m all in favour. Now to have a winter where it doesn’t hit -40.

  8. I’m with you, kare. Some of my flowers are still blooming and pretty. The northern lights were pretty. I only saw them from close to the house, however, and we have tall pines around us.

We also loved, “What About Bob?” My husband had one brother who was a counselor and one who had mental health issues and that made it all the funnier. What a gift humor is!
