  1. Thank you so much AJ for giving us a place to land. In 2012 I was almost completely dependent on World Mag Blog for interaction with others on a deeper level. I was devastated when they announced they were shutting it down.
I realize I haven’t been her much in the last year but that doesn’t mean you are any less important to me.
DJ contacted me yesterday about the hurricane. If you look at a map I am still on the upper Gulf Coast. The points the weather people use is Mobile, AL and Appalachicola,Fl. I am closer to Mobile than Appalach.

  2. Happy anniversary NJ and Paul! Any special plans?

Has it really been 11 years? I went to the first post and saw some names of ones who stopped coming for whatever reason, like Make it Man and Xion.

  3. Good morning. Yes, this has been a place of great encouragement, rest, peace, and growth as we practice interacting with others in the body with different perspectives, and a few outside the body. Thanks, the real, for giving us a place to worship our Creator through our interactions.

  4. Have a wonderful day of celebrating God’s blessing that y’all found each other,NJ and Paul! ❤

The blog family has been through so much in the last eleven years! And I am indeed thankful that AJ took the task of herding cats and dogs onto what seemed like an Ark in space when we got dumped off of the World Mag blog.
Thanks, AJ, and thanks to God!

  5. Morning!! Thanks Aj and all. Aj I am incredibly thankful for your love and tenacity in keeping us together…❣️

Paul and I joke about what to do to commemorate the day we said I do. Some years we purchased new tires for the car..last year he purchased the whole car for me!! This year window guys will be here all day replacing glass in many windows that have leaking seals. Tomorrow we plan to have dinner out at a favorite small bistro. 48 years…and some thought it would never last…it crossed our minds a few times…but God brought us thus far!! Thankful!

  6. I, too, am grateful for Aj and the rest of you. Time certainly does march on.

Happy anniversary to NJ and Paul. Who knew rubber was one of the anniversary gift things? Or whatever tires are made of these days. And glass, too! That will be so nice to have done.

  7. KH, thanks for the geographical markers. I thought that’s sort of where you were (is that the “handle” or the “pan”??). Stay safe, sounds like a strong storm.

Happy anniversary, NJ & Paul, and to the blog.

We should get some cooler weather today, yesterday was uncomfortable — but it’s the end of August so we’ve largely escaped the (truly) miserable heat this year. It’s been a very mild summer, no “heat domes.”

  8. Ah, forecast says we’ll have another hot day today, upper 80s; but it should break tomorrow and Thursday. I don’t know how you folks in the south manage the heat & humidity you get there.

  9. Here in this part of the south we had more moderate temps except for a few really hot days this past week. At PT on Friday I mentioned the “heat dome” being less than I had expected and the other patient agreed. Our climate change seems to have made our temps in general lower than before and with breezes and less humidity than in past decades. But out in TX and even in places like where Mumsee is, it seems the temps may be hotter?

I found a spider web at the mailbox which seemed to reach up into the sky to a limb in the cedar tree. Another seemed to be from the telephone line high above. I knocked them down the best I could with the broom. Then I noticed that the one hanging from the telephone line seemed to be reeling upward. Ah! The new world order. There’s not suppose to be anything new under the sun, but these mutant ninja spiders and webs are new here!

  10. Love seeing Heidi! She’s a keeper! Maybe trade a cat for her? Miss Bosley has been in the carport twice and once got swept back inside by a broom! She is Betty Bad today, our resident flea catcher when she sneaks outside for a few moments.

  11. Neighbor’s black-and-white kitty, LiLu, was sitting on my front lawn late yesterday when I drove back from a grocery/pharmacy run. She was always Annie’s look-alike (though Annie really disliked her and would go into fits of yowling whenever she’d come onto our property).

Reminded me of how Annie would sit out there or on the front steps and greet me when I came home from work back in the day.

  13. The windows are in and look wonderful. The guys finished early enough that we made reservations at the Bistro. But the neighbor who needed help with something supposedly an hour ago said it will be another hour or so… cancelled reservations and now I am mad at my husband!! 😳

  14. Aw, happy anniversary, NJ & Paul.

I, too, am glad for this blog – I think I read most everything through the summer, but just no time/energy for commenting much.
