  1. Good morning!

The weather lady said we set a record high for the starting temp this morning which was in the eighties. Even with the warm start we still will not be under a heat advisory until the weekend. The heat index will remain below triple digits for a few days. Thankful.

  2. We will be busy with music again today. Only one hour of the regular jam and then a gig where two churches combine to offer some hospitality to their neighborhood. The churches are across the street from one another and one person from each church is part of the music group. We attend neither church. It is supposed to be held outside, but every year it rains just enough to have to be inside. They are hoping they break that record. If not they may (wisely) change the usual timing.

  3. I am playing phone tag with my dog walking friend this week. She called today when I was at Sam’s. Then she called not long ago as I was getting a whole chicken out of its package and into the crock pot. Maybe . . . the third time will be the charm? But I am expecting a call from someone else, too. Will they coincide?

A nice breeze keeps the afternoon temps down. It feels plesant in the shade in my front yard.

  4. I’m working, trying to put together a story about a sea lion beach release we couldn’t get to first thing this morning, but now sponsors sent us info with no photos of the sea lions …

Already did the monthly cargo stats story.

My thumb feels so much better today! Still doesn’t bend easily or without stiffness or pain, but the doctor said that would be normal for up to a couple weeks, “Don’t panic,” he said.

    Bodies are wonderful but weird.
