  1. Good morning! It’s Monday, hooray!

The photo is beautiful and makes me think of a cold sunny winter day when leaves are vacant for the season. I need to think cold today!

Security is being beefed up for some area high school football games. I am not affected but feel sad that people are having freedom to enjoy simple pleasures whittled away.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . . .

  2. Good morning, all. A beautiful day here, with a very light rain falling. Relatively cool but not cold. Birds are singing, roosters crowing, smoke and harvest dust is settled.

  3. Morning! It’s going to hit close to 90 today !!
A crow in a tree? What kind of tree with those pods hanging down? Love that view!!
The bear visited again last night after 10…Lu decided she would let him know of her displeasure and meet him out in the driveway!!! Sheesh!!!

  4. The sewer crew is on the street today. They seemed to arrive so early, two vehicles on the street before 7 a.m. and then a big truck. They had to move my garbage bins. Keeping our lines cleaned out to/from the houses.

  5. Thankfully it will not be that hot here today; 73 is predicted. Often it is a bit warmer than that. My husband’s group plays music tonight in an old Finnish Temperance Hall. It is quite an interesting place with beautiful tin all around. They play in the upstairs and they are very high, steep stairs. There is a chair lift for those who have difficulty getting up the stairs. We will be walking up with guitar, fiddle, stands for both and music stand, microphone stand and speaker. This is where we get our exercise. 😀

I had a nice visit at a gathering for my aunt who is up from AZ. One of my cousins is into the New Age, another was raised an atheist. How they need eyes to see!

  6. I’m assuming DJ is out covering the story. We’ve got odd muggy weather up here. No news from my family down south–including in the Inland Empire where it hit.

  7. Our south facing deck, with the East and west and north sections, has been ideal for my dad to walk four laps, four times a day. Now he goes off the deck on the brick pathway the children built for him, to play corn hole.

  8. We had a good long downpour overnight, storm took a turn our way. Abby needed to go out at 1:30 a.m. but she didn’t take long!

And yes, no rain ever for us, typically, during the summer. So this one easily broke our “August” rain records. 🙂

Sun has come out today, I have laundry drying on racks in the backyard. Only story I had to worry about today was cargo numbers (dropping again) from one of our two neighboring ports. In a couple hours it’s off to the “thumb” doctor.

  9. Glad you survived, Dj!

The temp is 94° and feels like 100°. It will probably get worse before it gets better. The sewer work has gone on all day, more than the norm. Not sure what the issue has been. Prayers for all to be safe for workers and neighborhood peeps.

  10. Who hopes to watch Wed.’s debate? I hope to, but if it coincides with a Brave’s game . . . there is that! I suppose more may watch since Trump is sitting it out. It should be interesting, all those personalities and proposals.

  11. He said it should actually “fix” it. But it’ll still click for a few days, he said “don’t be alarmed.” He said not to type (!) but I told him my left thumb literally isn’t used at all when I type. But I think I still need to be careful …

No walk for Abby tonight, but he said it’s OK to walk her “carefully.”

  12. What kind of tree with those pods hanging down?

I think those are seed pods, but I don’t know what kind of tree. There are buds on the branches so it must be a Springtime photo.
