I’ll take one of those, please. Only hold the ice; I want mine piping hot. :–)
Good morning, everyone! It’s a wonderfully sunny morning here in southeastern TN. And last night it was so cool I drove part of the way home from work with the windows down. Thank the Lord for cool fall weather. May it come early and stay long!
Good morning. The tooth extraction went well, and my husband is planning on playing music at one of the regular gigs at an assisted living facility. We have one cool day before it will be way too hot. Smokey here again from Canada–the import no one wants.
You may have read about the shark that showed up on the beach down by the Salmon near Riggins. One of our local rivers. Oddly, nobody noticed it going through the ladders on the dams along the way..
We may get some rain late this weekend. Yesterday was a bit too warm for my tastes, upper 80s; today may be about the same; tomorrow it’ll start cooling down. Then we should see rain, perhaps a good amount, in our general vicinity, including the coast; remnants of a storm coming up from Mexico:
~ Sunday/Monday, California’s first potential tropical cyclone landfall since 1939.
Significant flash flooding will be the biggest threat, especially in southeast California deserts. ~
Finished the last of the 2 special section stories yesterday that have been hanging over me, still need to nail down a photo assignment time for one of them this morning.
My dad was up from midnight to five this morning after being in bed by ten. He was up again at six thirty. Interesting sleep pattern. While up he just sat in the near dark with no tv. I suspect he dozed. I am glad he did not go out for corn hole in the wee hours.
We have a very pleasant 79° at 12:30 p.m. God seems to have been merciful to us considering how hot August can get here. We will have more hot days, but what a nice break from them.
Just in from another corn hole competition in the cool of the morning. 89 seems a good time to come into the seventy five house. Last day of hundreds for a bit.
I had to keep changing spoons, too, thinking each was my last spoonful. But not a bowl at all, lol
I had a big surprise, totally unexpected, to find my name in the acknowlegements in my friend’s book. Another lady in my Bible study group is in there, too. More motivated to read it now than before!
Kizzie, one thing we do when dogs are throwing up is withhold food and water for 24 hours. Then start the boiled chicken (or hamburger) and rice. Also pumpkin is good.
LOL! Janice @3:31. Oh how many times I have done that exact same thing! Apparently we have good intentions. Hopefully the scales won’t tell on us too much . ;–)
Kare – Just saw your comment! Earlier I had jumped ahead to wish the Bs a happy anniversary, and didn’t notice your comment to me right there.
I just left an update on the prayer thread about Heidi. So far, so good, but I am also feeling cautious, knowing that the throwing up could start a little later.
For Kizzie.

Good morning, all. A beautiful day here and the last of this series of one hundred plus days.
A cousin and family are stopping by here, on the way from Boise brother to Moscow brother to Yellowstone. One of my dad’s favorite nephews.

I see now that mumsee and I were sitting on Janice’s two shoulders last night, whispering in her ears, when it came to that banana pudding choice.
She apparently made a split decision by having a few “spoonfuls”– but not a second bowl.
