  1. Another beautiful header!

And another Monday morning to give God thanks!

We can’t take anything for granted these days as security is beefed up in downtown Atlanta. Just praying it is not some J6 redo event made for Hollywood and media overload. Lord, have mercy and may Your peace blanket Atlanta.

In the weather report, the mix of heat and humidity will give a heat index of 107°, but we have a chance of rain and wind. A cold front will bring relief of a drop by twenty degrees later this week. More storm possibilities!

  2. We have had some pretty perfect weather the last few days. The grands were happy to pick some wild raspberries on the edge of the yard. I didn’t want any of these, but if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

The begonia is beautiful. I am so enjoying the beautiful plants around me these days.

  3. Good Morning Begonia! Mine has been beat to death by heavy rain and small hail but continues to hang in there sitting on the deck rail…

We turned the furnace on again this morning! Brrrrr It’s cloudy and cold and Autumn is definitely in the air! Summer is supposed to reappear this week but for today it is sweater, jeans and boots weather …..

  4. Good morning, all. 72 here, looking at 96. Supposed to be five days of 95 and north. But dad says it is chilly here at 71 indoors.

My brother heads home today, it has been another great visit.

Dad is sleeping in his chair after his very active few days!

  5. And speaking of ‘season’ — I shared this piece of wisdom (applicable for believers on both ‘sides’) also on the news thread but I realize not everyone ventures over into that territory.

Tumultuous times. Keep the faith 🙂

  6. Jo, 91? Ugh. The heat is especially bad when it doesn’t cool off at night to give our bodies a break. It sometimes happens here — I know it’s going to be an uncomfortable night if it’s 80 or above when I go to bed. No A/C but the fans do double duty on those nights along with open windows.

We haven’t had a night like that this summer, thankfully. Not yet, anyway.

  7. It’s currently 81F in my office, but humidity is only 44% so the fans are cooling me quite nicely. I sure hope we get a few more days like this yet this summer.

  8. Our sermon yesterday was on Titus 3.
“Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. For we also once were foolish ourselves….”

My husband has been pondering how that should influence his political interactions in these difficult days. The Word of God remains True.

  9. Amen, mumsee, good things to ponder.

We’re having a nice, brisk night, just back from the dog walk and I wore a lightweight sweatshirt, it almost feels like fall !

Abby’s doing well, caught up with the trainer earlier today via text, I think it’s going well with some of the things we’ve added in at her suggestion.

Although I still forget Abby’s name sometimes, this morning I (again) called her:

cowboytessABBY. She’s getting used to me, I think.

  10. I wore something different today. It feels like circulation has been blocked in my right leg and today it wasn’t. We will see, but this is certainly different.

Yesterday I came straight home from church needing ice and advil. Today I have had none of that pain.
